THE CITY OF QUIMPERLÉ
Just a few hours from Rennes, Lorient or Paris, Quimperlé can be explored by road, rail or river. Nestled between land and sea, at the confluence of the Ellé, Isole and Laïta rivers, the town harmoniously blends heritage, culture and lush greenery.
The historic centre, with its cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and monuments, including the famous Sainte-Croix Abbey, bear witness to a rich and vibrant medieval past. Museums, exhibitions and cultural events still reflect the city's artistic dynamism today.
Surrounded by wooded valleys and hiking trails, Quimperlé invites you to stroll along the rivers, discovering its bridges and picturesque panoramas. Its proximity to the beaches of Le Pouldu and the south coast of Finistère makes it an ideal place to combine heritage, nature and relaxation.
Between strolls through the old town, escapades on the trails or breaks by the water's edge, Quimperlé reveals a thousand faces to those who take the time to explore it. Between history, art and the good life, it elegantly and authentically embodies the living soul of Cornouaille.
