For exploring the island, it's the best to rent a bicycles, scooters or BRUM car so you can see other parts of Island, except just National Park.
Maybe you'll be interested to visit magnificent Limuni beach or Odisej cave near Babino polje.
Nearest restaurant, such as grocery store is only 3 minutes walking distance from the property.

Nowadays it has its hotel, a couple of restaurants and coffee bars, grocery and souvenir shops, agencies etc… As a bay, is a very safe place for anchorage, being sheltered by a tiny island of Pomestak, which acts as a local naturist beach too.Pomena is also a port where one will arrive if you take a day trip to Mljet by fast ferry from Korcula, Hvar, Split, Brac, or Dubrovnik
