Travel through history with modern amenities in an 80m²/850sf apartment, accessible via a beautiful grand staircase entrance in a 17th-century townhouse. You'll be 150m/500ft from the Town Hall belfry and the Cours Mirabeau, close to open-air markets, exhibitions, and historic churches, in the heart of Aix-en-Provence's Old Town, a cultural and university city. A TGV (high-speed train) station and a major airport are just a short bus ride away. Tall windows with period espagnolette shutters and double glazing; Ceiling height 3.60m-4.50m/12-15ft with wide beams, two sofas, including a sofa bed in "open" Bedroom 2, in addition to the single bedroom. Note the short distance by road to the most picturesque villages of the Luberon and Roussillon, 20km/13mi, and to: Marseille 30km/20mi, 15km/10mi from the TGV station and 20km/13mi from Marseille-Marignane Airport. Paris is just 3 hours away by TGV, Lyon 2 hours, Nice 1 hour 30 minutes. The Mediterranean coast is 40km/25mi by road, starting with Cassis to the east of Marseille and the Camargue to the west. The entire floor area (80m²/850sf) of the apartment is available, but not the mezzanine, for safety reasons. We want you to have the most pleasant stay possible. Gauthier is personally available to welcome you, give you advice and recommendations, and answer your questions. Upon arrival, you will have: - very good quality sheets, as well as two towels per person; - "Nespresso" coffee and choice of tea; - all the necessary cooking equipment (spices, salt, pepper, oil...); - a welcome tray with some sweets; - miscellaneous items: paper towel, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, etc.

No elevator, not a place for seniors or people with physical challenges. Needs light bulb replacement, toilet with a handle that works. Entry into apartment is a tripping hazard, should be lite in some way, especially at night when people in the bedroom need to use the toilet. Area rugs slip, need nonslip padding under them. Please supply toilet paper, two small rolls is not enough and a few kitchen towels.
