À propos de cette location de vacances
A peaceful and relaxing place, perfect as a base for exploring our region. The Adriatic Sea and coastline are just a 30-minute drive away, and the town of Fossombrone, only 15 minutes away, offers all the amenities you’ll need for your vacation: supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and shops.
The accommodations are spread over two floors: on the upper floor, there is a master bedroom with a balcony and an en-suite bathroom featuring a sink, toilet, bidet, and tub/shower; a walk-through bedroom/study furnished with a single bed; and a second master bedroom.
On the first floor is the dining area with a fully equipped kitchen featuring a double-bowl sink, a gas stove with an electric oven and a refrigerator, a table and chairs, a fireplace, and a wood-burning stove to keep you warm on cooler evenings. There is also a small guest bathroom with a sink and toilet.
At the entrance, a bright, veranda-enclosed room features a comfortable sofa for a relaxing break before dinner on the outdoor patio, which is furnished with a table and chairs. The garden, with its beautiful green lawn, is ideal for playing, sunbathing, or reading a book. Parking is available on the property.
About 3.5 km away, in the village of Isola del Piano, you’ll find a mini-market, a bar and tobacco shop, and a pharmacy. There are also several farms where you can sample local products—including organic options—such as wines, cheeses, pasta, and olive oil.
The accommodation and outdoor space are entirely at the guests’ disposal.
The owners do not live on site.
Nearby, you can visit small villages such as Isola del Piano, Montefelcino, Serrungarina, Cartoceto, and Mombaroccio. Nearby is the Montebello Monastery, now home to one of Italy’s first organic farming cooperatives; its cellars house the “In the Footsteps of Our Fathers” Museum of Rural Life, which can be visited by appointment.
About 20 minutes away is Fossombrone, the ancient Forum Sempronii, whose archaeological remains—open to visitors—bear witness to its Roman origins. Also worth visiting are the beautiful Church of San Filippo, with its Baroque architecture, and the Cesarini Art Gallery House Museum. For nature lovers and hikers, the Cesane State Forest—a vast natural area rich in a wide variety of conifers—offers hiking trails and mountain bike routes. The Marmitte dei Giganti, a natural canyon that can also be explored by canoe, and the picturesque Furlo Gorge with its dam on the Candigliano River, a tributary of the Metauro. Acqualagna, the “Truffle Capital”; Urbino, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, a Renaissance city, and the birthplace of Raphael; Pesaro, the city of composer Rossini; and Fano, with its 2023 Blue Flag-certified beach, the Arch of Augustus, and well-preserved city walls.
