Doug is a wonderful host who goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. His property is amazing, clean, and quiet. This was our third stay and we will definitely be back again and again.

The property was clean and cool in the midst of a heat wave in Indiana. I was not prepared for the step in/out bathroom, step within the bathroom, and the step between the bedroom and the Livingroom/kitchen area. I ended up putting a kitchen chair near the step in/ out bedroom to Livingroom. The host had installed small running lights beneath each step but still difficult in the day as this transition is not typical. It would be helpful to describe the step transition as part of the overall description.

A great out in the country cabin. Was only there to sleep but it would be a cool place to spend some time under the stars and have a fire. Beds are very comfortable! Would stay again .

The sleeping area itself was beautiful. It has a full sized bed and two twin beds. If you are not straight and white you will be off put by the confederate and other very political flags hanging from the house in the driveway. We did find some bullet casings in the grave next to our car so if you have little ones you might not want to let them walk around by themselves. Doug was very kind. It should be noted that he does have a live bobcat in a caged enclosure on property outside of the location you will stay in. My daughter loved taking pictures of it and it is safe and secure in the enclosure. If you have children that would be afraid of that, just heads up. The pond is not flowing water of any sort, we saw one fish but the water was very stagnant so don't think of it as a place you would want to swim. The trail is very pretty and right on the property but if in season watch out for the ticks and wear preventative clothing. The bed was comfortable. There are two tvs inside with some streaming channels. The shower also had nice hot water and water pressure. The issue at hand is I went with my daughter to a funeral (age 15) and my 13 year old son decided to come last minute. The host was aware that i said this was a possibility. He sent me a request for 30 extra dollars saying you had to pay 30 extra per guest. So if you have more than one child with you, even though there are three beds and two couches, just know he is going to send a message asking for more
