Highlights
The one thing Beach Shack isn't is a Shack! This gorgeous cottage has just undergone a total transformation and you will not believe your eyes. The first thing you'll notice is the brand new, expansive decking that runs the entire width of the house. Imagine yourself sitting right there at the water's edge enjoying that morning coffee or evening cocktail. Plenty of high-end deck furniture so there is comfortable seating for all. There's even a bar height table and chairs in the event you choose to dine al fresco. Pro-Tip: Listen for the roar of the Blue Angels. You'll have a front row seat as these skillful pilots practice their maneuvers and formations along the coastline.
The Space
But the view doesn't stop at the deck! Step inside to the fresh, new living room with all new windows, flooring and furniture. This is the perfect spot for TV watching, hanging out or gazing at the phenomenal view just outside. You'll find a large dining table with seating for 6 and the counter provides additional seating for 5 so your entire group can dine at the same time.
The kitchen is a showstopper with designer granite, stainless appliances and a farmhouse sink. You'll really appreciate the finishing touches that Beach Shack provides for those nights when you choose to dine in.
Beach Shack offers 3 bedrooms. There is a King bedroom with a private bath (stand up shower) and a second King Room that shares the hall bath (tub/shower combination) with the bunk room. The bunk room contains a Full over Full bunk bed. There is also a sleeper sofa that provides additional sleeping space.
Main floor: King bedroom w/ en suite; King bedroom; Full/Full bunk bedroom; 1 sleeper sofas; Hall Bath
* Dogs considered with a $100 non-refundable per pet fee, maximum of 2 dogs
* Renter must be at least 25 years of age. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
This unit has an outdoor BBQ pit, guests will need to provide charcoal and lighter fluid.
Fort Morgan
Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.
Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.
Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain, and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

The Beach Shack was just right for our family vacation. We loved the house-it was just the right size for us, especially the open living area, and kitchen was very well stocked. Loved have direct access to the beach and also enjoyed the front deck. It was peaceful there, even for a holiday weekend. Will definitely look in to renting the Beach Shack again!

Location was perfect with close proximity to the beach! We loved enjoying the covered deck in the evening. The host was very kind and easy to communicate with. Can’t beat the view and the location of the Beach Shack…we hope to return again!

The absolute best part of this property is how close it is to the water. We loved being steps from the gulf. The house itself seems a bit neglected. The flooring in some of the rooms is separating and is just being covered up with rugs everywhere, but some places are so bad that you can feel it through the carpet. The master bedroom had a small rug that just slid around in front of the bed and I actually stepped on a chipped off piece of flooring. The master shower is extremely small, had to raise our arms straight in the air to wash off because there is just no room. The toilet in the 2nd bathroom would not flush on our first day there. They were quick to reply, it was late when I notified them, but they ended up installing a new toilet not the next day, but the day after. Just disappointed, it was a lot of money on a house with 2 bathrooms for the 5 of us and we ended up having to share the master toilet for most of our trip. The master sink was also very slow to drain. It kept filling up just while brushing our teeth. Definitely think this little house could be so much nicer, just needs some maintenance attention. Last is a suggestion, we cooked some while we were there and there was not a single pot holder. We looked everywhere. We had to use a washcloth to pull dinner out of the oven. We still enjoyed the beach, again, loved being so close, but wouldn't stay in this exact house again unless it gets some attention.
