SPACES AND AMENITIES
Recently built, Oasi Azzurra is spread over two floors: on the first floor are the living room with an open kitchen and a bathroom with a shower, while the upper floor features the two bedrooms—both furnished with double beds—and a second bathroom. The total sleeping capacity is 6, counting the beds in the two bedrooms plus the sleeping space provided by the sofa bed in the living room. The apartment has independent heating, and a portable air conditioner is available.
The outdoor spaces include the area in front of the entrance and, most notably, the rear terrace, which offers the opportunity to dine al fresco with a truly remarkable view of the lake.
Inside, the living room—an extremely bright space—combines the living area (with a sofa that converts into a double bed), the dining table, and a fully equipped kitchenette, including, of course, a gas stove, an electric oven, and a spacious refrigerator.
Also on the first floor is the main bathroom with a shower.
A staircase connects this level to the upper floor, which features two double bedrooms with sloped ceilings and exposed beams, as well as a half-bath.
Oasi Azzurra offers Wi-Fi internet access and private parking in a garage. The easiest way to park a standard-sized car is to drive up the ramp, back up, and pull into the garage. With a large car (up to 7 seats), you’ll need to park with the front facing forward, while the rear may protrude slightly; in which case, you do not need to close the garage door.
THE AREA
Fonteno, located about 620 meters above sea level, is the highest settlement on what the residents of Lake Iseo call “the Hill”: a place made famous by the spectacular view of the lake and the 365 farmhouses scattered around it, each of which serves as a destination for walks along well-marked trails and mule tracks.
Of course, in addition to enjoying the attractions offered by the lake—which is just over ten minutes away by car—there is a remarkable range of possible activities here, foremost among which are hiking and cycling, whether on road bikes or mountain bikes. Several 16th-century churches can be admired in the area. For speleologists, Fonteno is also known for the karst cave known as the Abisso Bueno Fonteno, which descends 500 meters and extends for a full 19 km, ranking among the top 20 caves in Italy by length.
