The Mountainside Inn is located along the San Miguel River in the heart of Telluride. It is comprised of four separate buildings, all of which are two floors with stair access (no elevators).
This is a hotel room with a kitchenette (mini-fridge, microwave, two-burner stovetop, coffee maker and toaster) at the Mountainside Inn. This room has a split king bed (can be set up as a king bed or two twins) and a private bath with a shower (no tub). It also has a small sitting area. It is a second-floor unit that faces the Carhenge parking lot.
Complimentary wifi is included. A well-stocked vending machine and coin-operated laundry are located on the property. There is no A/C at the Mountainside Inn.
The Mountainside Inn is just two blocks from the grocery store, and about a 10-minute walk from historic downtown Telluride. The river trail offers a delightful path through town, and the free in-town shuttle picks up about a 1/2-block from the Inn.
This room is NOT pet-friendly and any unregistered dog will incur a substantial fee. Please select a dog-friendly room if you plan on bringing a pet.

Nice room with a pleasant view. Small but efficient kitchen area. Small table for 2 next to the bed overlooking public parking and the mountains from the 2nd floor room.
Easy walking to the Main Street and many good restaurants. Nice outdoor sitting area along the stream and there was also a walking path straight to the free gondola.
Needed an elevator or some sort of ramp for luggage to be brought to the second floor.

Telluride has gotten so expensive so we decided to give this place a try. It's older and small as we expected but we loved the convenient location to the river and gondola. It was relatively quiet and comfortable inside.
What we did not love was the lack of a/c - not that we needed it if we could have kept the windows open, but we could not. The smell of pot being smoked outside our window was so overwhelming we had to keep the windows closed and rely on a cheap fan to sleep. I slept ok but my wife was too hot to sleep at night.
The other negative is parking - be aware they do not have enough spaces for their units, so if you move your car during the day, you may have to then park in an overflow offsite parking lot.

Good location for access to downtown Telluride and ski lifts. The buildings are old, outdated, and there is minimal service provided---no room service for the price, have to seek out extra supplies for the rooms if needed, both rooms had faint odor of cigarette smoke. I would think for the price charged there would be more amenities. I believe the individual units that are rented are probably owned by a bunch of private investors who have told the property management firm to skimp on any upgrades and maximize rental fees.
