Jewel in the Sand is not simply a beachfront Destin vacation home, its a venue! A very small percentage of vacation rentals shine as brightly as this eight bedroom luxury home. She's always had the right DNA to special- a private pool with a grilling area, lounge chairs and a boardwalk to the beach; open gathering/entertainment areas on each of the four floors; four beachfront balconies and a large reception-ready kitchen hedged by two dining rooms, one with beach views and one for formal dining. Yet now, this gem of a rental sparkles even more brilliantly thanks to recent renovations.
Definitely on trend, it exudes a ‘light and bright’ feel marked by glossy modern art, white shiplap walls and stunning grey marble counters throughout. Each space boasts high end furnishings and coastal modern decor, from the many sitting areas to the individual bedrooms- every nook is welcoming. While several of the ensuite rooms would classify as Primary suites in any house, the fourth floor Primary suite is larger than many apartments. It’s bathroom alone has megawatts of 'wow'. Yes, Jewel in the Sand’s attention to detail is obvious in the custom tile finishes, gold hardware and even the refurbished ceilings.
Every substantial house needs certain necessities to host large groups and Jewel in the Sand is not lacking. A full laundry room, kitchenettes on multiple floors and flat screen TVS in each room raise the comfort level to new highs. Plus, don’t let its secluded location in The Dunes of Destin or its beachfront location fool you- malls, water parks, golf courses and grocery stores are very close by and a few restaurants are within walking distance.
This house sleeps a maximum of 20 guests.

Per City of Destin Rules, this property comes with 4 parking spaces.
There are several pool towels provided for your stay but must remain in the vacation rental and not be taken home.
This pool can be heated between October- April for an additional daily fee upon request to our office.
We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.
Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.
In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.
There is a private elevator on site for your use. You must abide the rules in the rental agreement to use the elevator. Included in your total is a fee charged for the use of the elevator.
We may require a minimum length of stay during the summer and over holidays.

Wonderful property! it was perfect for our large family vacation. It was exactly as described in the listing. We hope to come back again next year!A few recommendations to keep the area top shape- Road in neighborhood needs to be paved badly. The neighborhood pool was dirty, run down and smelled of cigarettes. There were numerous houses in the neighborhood that had broken sprinklers and it caused huge puddles in the road. as an early morning runner it created numerous obstacles! Lastly the “private owners and guest only beach” was used by the neighborhoods outside of the Dunes of Destin. There were random umbrellas and chairs placed in front of the chairs we had paid for on the beach. We had something stolen from our chair so don’t leave anything in your chair or leave someone at your chairs at all times.

Our stay at this beautiful beachfront home was absolutely perfect! The house was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed—exactly as pictured and even better in person. Every room was thoughtfully decorated and comfortable, making it ideal for a large family gathering.The private pool was a highlight—crystal clear, well maintained, and just steps away from the beach with breathtaking ocean views. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying morning coffee on the patio overlooking the water.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the open layout made it easy to cook, dine, and relax together. The host was wonderful—very responsive, accommodating, and made sure our check-in and check-out were smooth and stress-free.The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach, close to restaurants, and perfect for watching sunsets. This home truly felt like a private luxury resort. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale beachfront getaway!

Great home for large family

We booked this house as a last minute decision when our original house got canceled due to a hurricane.
We did not pay summer prices so I feel that we got a good “deal” but if I had I would be pretty upset.
There were stains on almost every chair and a few cockroaches inside and out.
The house is very large with many bedrooms, a few steps from your private beach and close to restaurants, grocery, and shopping.
The first floor is set up odd with the bunk room close to two exits (and almost all other bedrooms on 3rd and 4th floor) so it was not an option for our 5 year olds to be in together. Also, no baby monitors out of 6 would reach between floors or outside to pool.
The 2nd floor was actually great with no bedrooms so you didn’t have to worry about waking others early. The kitchen left a lot to be desired. We had to go buy our own pair of scissors, salt/pepper, and paper and plastic bowls as there were only glass. The living room furniture was not comfortable.
The 3rd and 4th floor rooms were great.
As soon as we arrived we had to move ALL outdoor furniture as it was flipped upside down against the house and had not been moved back for us. They were VERY heavy.
We had asked for the pool to be heated on Saturday. Noticed on Monday there had been no change and contacted management who had someone out immediately and it was determined the heater was broken and we got a full refund.
Management responded quickly to any concerns.
