This two bedroom, one bath vacation rental is the perfect lake getaway, offering walkable access to downtown shops, restaurants, hiking and biking trails, and Commons Beach at Lake Tahoe.
The two-story layout features a cozy living room and fully remodeled kitchen on the main level, with two upstairs bedrooms designed for comfort and flexibility. Bedroom One includes a queen bed and a twin, while Bedroom Two also offers a queen bed and a twin, making this Tahoe cabin rental ideal for families, couples, or small groups. High-quality linens and tasteful mountain décor create a warm, inviting retreat.
Relax by the gas fireplace in the living room, set beneath an antique walnut mantle, or enjoy your favorite shows on the 42” flat-screen TV. The remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with high-end stainless steel appliances, perfect for preparing meals after a day exploring Lake Tahoe.
Step outside to enjoy the historic front porch built with locally quarried oatmeal granite, or unwind in the private backyard hot tub, enclosed by a fenced yard for added privacy. With its unbeatable location, classic Tahoe character, and modern comforts, this cabin is a true gem.

ABOUT THE AREA
Tahoe City is perched on the shore of Lake Tahoe at the headwaters of the Truckee River (Lake Tahoe's only outlet). Enjoy four-star dining, homegrown coffee shops, shopping, galleries, and a leisurely stroll through town on the lake view boardwalk any time of year.
Commons Beach is Tahoe City's four acre public park on the lake, popular for sunbathing, swimming, and picnicking. Group picnic sites and children's playgrounds are located within a large lakefront grass and sand area. Bike and watercraft rentals are available within walking distance.
During the ski season, you are just 15 minutes from Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.
POLICIES & DISCLOSURES:
1. Maximum Occupancy is 6, excluding children under twelve (12) years of age. Sleeping arrangements for 6.
2. Parking for 3 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. The use of ANY outdoor firepit or outdoor fireplaces is strictly prohibited at all our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping to keep our community safe from wildfires.

We've had a lovely time here in Tahoe. The house is just perfect- cosy & comfortable and within walking distance of everything you may need. We would love to come back. 🫶

The home was exactly as expected. The yard is very nice, especially in summer months. Enjoyed the hot tub. Could probably use some general updates as it is an old home. A second mirror would have been nice. But all-in-all a great time and a great location.

Let's start with the pro's, I'm all about positivity.
The location was amazing. We got to walk to town and the beach every day. The beds in the right bedroom were very comfortable. The backyard was nice.
The cons list: we are very afraid of spiders. During our stay we had to kill more than 30 spiders and very large carpenter ants. I understand being in the pine trees and it was summer, but this was overwhelming and stressful. I've never experienced this in all of my years of going to Tahoe. Our daughter was afraid to use the bathroom because over the five days we were there we couldn't go anywhere in the house without seeing very large spiders. We might as well have gone camping.
The hot tub would've been great, but there is not a light that works so going in the backyard meant being in the pitch black dark.
The refrigerator was leaking water and got all over our food that we bought. We reported this the day we arrived and were told that happens when a fridge is cleaned. We wiped it up and it happened again. We ended up just tossing our food out and reported the leaking and loud noise again. I sent several photos and a video to the Tahoe Getaways email. Tahoe Getaways finally sent someone out to look at it and instead of calling us to ask us about it they told us there was nothing wrong and they cleaned the water again. The fridge woke us up again on night 3 so we called back and said forget it and it can be fixed after our departure.
We made the most of our trip, but would never stay here again.
