The Sanctuary is a charming, newly-renovated two bedroom waterfront cottage with lovely views of the iconic Spark Plug Light and direct access to Lubec’s most beautiful sandy beach. With a waterside sunroom that you won’t want to leave, a new fully-equipped kitchen and bath, comfortable furnishings, and sumptuous cotton bed linens and towels, The Sanctuary is the perfect base for exploring all that Lubec, Campobello and Down East Maine have to offer. The idyllic property offers a true respite from today’s hectic life. Local wildlife includes deer, fox, and river otters and the beautiful beach offers the best shorebird viewing in Maine!

We absolutely loved our stay! The cottage is so beautiful, and the views are lovely. We loved sitting on the sun porch, looking out the windows at the river, the ocean, the beautiful flowers, and the birds. It was a great location to stay in order to visit Campobello, hike at West Quaddy lighthouse, and to go whale watching out of Lubec. We hope to come back someday!

Beautiful property, great location and super clean. Hosts were kind and handled small details to make our stay more enjoyable. They brought us extra beach chairs and screens for the porch. Huge awareness to make our stay better!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Sanctuary. We had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing vacation . I especially loved the decor. Just enough decorations to not be visually overstimulating or cluttered in the cottage. The furniture and beds were very comfortable! We practically lived on the porch and on the beach. Thank you!
