An exceptional setting in the very heart of Florence 150 meters from the Dome.
Via dell'Alloro is a quiet street situated between the station, the Dome and the Medici Chappels. It is parallel to the main street of the center: so very close to shops, monuments and all you can see in Florence but at the same time quite without traffic.
A tourist could ask for no better location in Florence.
The home is on the second floor of a historic building without elevator.
Uffizi Apartment was renovated in 2016. Very elegant indeed with its contemporary furnishings, it is an enchanting place to live, highly functional and perfect in every detail.
Parquet, air conditioning in every room, two bathrooms and a spectacoular balcony.
It is warm in winter and cool in summer thanks to the air conditioning but also to the extremely massive walls typical of historical edifices and its excellent exposure. The large windows make for bright and airy spaces.

From the entrance, on the links side, you have the first triple bedroom which is 20sqm, very large and bright. It also has a double sofa bed. One aisle leads to the first larger barthroom and then the living area, a comfortable parlor distinct from, but well-connected to, the kitchen that opens onto it further ahead.
From the living area you have the entrance of the second smaller double sleeping room with small privat bathroom. from the linving room again you have onother room (the dining room) the place is simply exception because of the view on the big Medici Chappel which is in front of you! You can hae a drink in the small terrace lokking at this monument that sems to be into the apartment.
The home can very comfortably accommodate even 6 adults. The two bedrooms are separate from the living area and the kitchen and the two bathrooms guarantee extreme privacy.
The living room can accommodate 2 people more because of the double sofa bed.
the living room is a comfortable space opening into the kitchen area and furnished with a soft sofa (which can become a double bed), a flat-screen television and book case. Here one can sip a drink before dinner or relax, reading or watching TV.
the kitchen is fully equipped, its colors light hues of pine, with a large refrigerator-freezer, oven, microwave oven, toaster and every utensil needed for cooking. The table seats 6-8 persons.
These ample spaces make for a quality of life that can last a few days or months and even years.

Great stay in Florence. Location is perfect, walk to the train station in five minutes and walk to all the sites downtown easily. Check in was easy. We had no issues during our stay. Just know that there are steps to climb up to get to the apartment, no elevator. It was not a problem for us.

Location location location. This location cannot be beat! Block away from Duomo and short walk from train station, you are located at the heart of shopping, dining, sites, and nightlife. This units interior facing balcony toward the nearby cupola allows for privacy and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the adjacent streets. The apartment is secure and includes all the basics. I would book again if I return to beautiful Florence.

We had higher hopes for this rental but were ultimately disappointed. The apartment does not look like it was renovated in 2016, maybe 2006.
1. AC in one of the bedrooms didn’t work right. The remote wouldn’t connect to the unit so the temp or fan speed wouldn’t go up or down. The filter was absolutely disgusting so maybe that is the issue.
2. One of the shower drains was clogged. Water was so slow to drain we had to turn the shower off every 30 seconds or so to drain out. We did tell them and they came to address both items the next day but neither were properly fixed. We told them again and they did try to come the next day but it was our last day and laundry was everywhere trying to prepare to leave so we asked them not to and we’d deal with it for our last night (we only stayed 3 nights).
3. I wiped surfaces down myself and wow, glad I did. The apartment was only clean to the eye. It needs a DEEP clean.
4. The master bedroom looks like it has mold/mildew on and by the AC unit. Not sure if it was addressed and not cleaned up but it needs cleaned up.
5. The mosquitos were bad IN the apartment. Assuming the windows/doors aren’t sealed well but we killed several.
I will say the communication outside of VRBO was very good. They were always quick to reply and they were kind enough to let us drop our bags before check in which was much appreciated! Overall, I would not stay here again until things are addressed.
