This cabin is amazing. Immaculate and clean, even with a history of pets being here with other visitors you couldn't tell at all. The owners (Dave & Sue Nielsen) are wonderful people and very responsive, they helped out when we first arrived to get settled into a perfect week. The sounds and views from here are incredible...the rippling of the river, the breezes, the eagles and herons calling out. Watching rainbow trout swimming. We loved walking down to the bridge at the beginning of the shared driveway (about 2/3 mile) and tubing back to the house (about 45 minutes or so). Swimming was great too. Neighbors (nearby cabin) fished and caught several trout.This cabin was a great hub for travelling around for our first trip to Michigan. Went to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Silver Lake (including Mac Woods Dune rides) and the Little Sable lighthouse. Shopping is 30-40 minutes (Ludington, Hart), though there are smaller places nearby. Weather was hotter than normal (and smokey due to record wildfires) but we all had a blast and made a lot of great memories.The cabin's amenities were exactly what we needed ... laundry, dishes, good AC and a good shower. Lots of space to spread out, comfortable beds, chairs, and couches. The deck was great to sit on and just relax, listening to the river and nature. Even roasted marshmallows on the fire pit. Would definitely return, and apparently many visitors here do on a regular basis. Easy to see why!

We rented both cottages and it was perfect! Really nice cottage, lots of room and everything you need right there, river is right there and so peaceful sitting on the deck. Defintely would rent both again

The view of the river was fantastic!

This is a beautiful stay. May not bevidea with small children but a sportsman dream and a great place for a family to stay.
