Escape to Hog Mountain Chalet, a private, fully renovated Catskills retreat near Margaretville and Phoenicia. Set on a peaceful property with a pond and sweeping mountain views, it’s the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature.
Just 7 miles from Belleayre Mountain, the chalet is ideal for skiing, hiking weekends, relaxing mountain escapes, and guests attending local weddings and events throughout Fleischmanns, Margaretville, Phoenicia, and Roxbury.
The home features a modern kitchen, two renovated full bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi tub), and comfortable bedrooms designed for rest after a day in the mountains. Both the primary and second bedrooms open directly onto the deck through sliding glass doors, and all three bedrooms include electric fireplaces for extra warmth and comfort during cooler months.
Outside, enjoy the large deck with mountain views, a 6-person hot tub, and a spacious fire pit area — perfect for evenings under the stars. Inside, the living room features a wood-burning fireplace, creating a cozy place to unwind after skiing, hiking nearby trails, enjoying fall foliage, or exploring the Catskills.

Ray was wonderful. Was able to deal with my constant questions and help with many things. Always responded quickly. Room are very spacious. AC in all the right rooms. Living room and dining area was really spacious and comfortable. Lots of board games he has for our use. The patios were spacious. The views of the mountains were awesome. The sunset was nice to see. We love the swings under the balcony. He has a nice spacious land to hang around. Kitchen was awesome. There was so many kitchen gadgets that we went snd got food to cook. Just wanted to use the amenities he has for kitchen usage. Bathroom are nice. Bathroom downstairs is a small one but still very nice. The pond was so nice ,just bugs around as expected. Lots of frogs in the pond. Saw one turtle but my friend said he saw a few. Small places to eat but they close too early. We went to Phoenicia area and their town was nice. Restaurant and a couple of bars, Supermarket and several variety gift shops. So all in all the place was great. We are coming back for the fall season.

I really enjoyed the mountains and peacefulness of the Catskills. The chalet was well equipped with everything you need for your family to relax and enjoy the scenery. Its very modern and with basically all amenities that you need similar to being at home. I loved the deck outside the bedrooms to enjoy the relaxing n beautiful view. The property included indoor and outdoor hot tubs. The scenery included the view of the property’s own lake w chairs to relax or just read a book. In addition, they are so gracious to allow your dog on their property. Overall it’s a 10 outta 10 for me. The host was always helpful and responded quickly to any questions or if any needs arouse. Looking forward to coming back again.

What a great spot! The house was immaculate! Everything was super clean and comfortable. Check in was very easy. Host was super responsive when i asked about a spare tank for the grill. The property was beautiful. The property is not close to any stores or anything, which makes it great because nature is around you, but tricky if you forget any items. I would definitely stay there again.

The place was smaller in person than the pictures lead on, it was very beautiful other wise. I know in the description it say doesn’t supply water and that it has well water but honestly there was a device in the house that could produce sanitized water but nothing hooked up to it. It just doesn’t make sense to even have that in there if you aren’t going to hook it up for guests. There is also a coffee pot which is nice but there isn’t any thing to make coffee since you can’t use the well water. Supplying some kind of water would be sufficient or hooking up the device that gives out sanitized water. Also when we showed up to the house it was freezing because it was set to 60 with all 6 individual thermostats. It would have been nice to walk into a semi warm house around this time of year. Besides all of that the house it nicely located and very clean!
