8 / 10Excellent·juill. 2026
The location of this large house was convenient to hiking and to a couple restaurants. Scott was very responsive and kind. The house would be best suited to large groups of 6 or more people, though it felt too big for me and my daughter. There was a vibe of neglect at the place though: one window was hanging off its hinge, the dishwasher had a few unwashed dishes quietly molding in it, remnants of grilled salmon skin hadn't been cleaned up from the outdoor grill... Scott has vowed to deal with these issues and once he does, the place will be much better I'm sure.

The beds are very comfortable and the sheets and towels were clean. We had a few problems and communication was poor; partially because of limited cell and Internet service in the area.We did not receive check-in or check out instructions. It may have been helpful to have received them a few days before. The location is good, and Crested Butte is always a win-win.

I have stayed in a number of VRBOs over the years. This was a disappointment to say the least. Trash around the outdoors, dusty inside, curtains broken, etc. The place has possibilities, but the owner(s) need to pay attention to their place.
