Welcome to our comfy 1950s beach house, right across the road from Shelly Beach! It’s the perfect spot for a laid-back family getaway or a weekend with friends. You can walk to Bateau Bay restaurants and Cafe's, bowling club, Shelly Beach Golf Club, and the Shelly Beach Surf Club & Café — great for meals, coffee, or local events.

Location was good in regards to beach being across the road and close to cafes and shops.However not being familiar with the area, the property is on a busy road and the traffic noise was loud and not relaxing, even during the night. Also there is a shared driveway with a neighbour out the back and her van is parked right next to the main back bedroom. We were woken every morning we were there by the van doors and starting of the vehicle.Property size was good and rooms were spacious. Deck was beautiful but again noisy if you’re wanting to sit out there for some relaxing time. Bathroom has been renovated and shower head was great but no exhaust fan so by the 2nd shower the condensation everywhere including the floors was really bad. You can only crack the window about 8cm. Laundry and back toilet/shower was useful. Tap came off the laundry tubFew minor things like front bedroom light wouldn’t work, only 1 of the 3 outside lights worked and only one string of lights on the deck worked. Sliding doors to main bathroom and doors that corner off the lounge room were very hard to use.

The property was bigger than I had expected, very accommodating for 4 adults and 2 dogs. Easy walking distance for everything needed by humans and dogs and would be great premises in warmer weather, being so close to the beach and having a great covered deck.

Michael was welcoming, a little slow to react to a message about the toaster being broken. Property is in a good position, it certainly has an old beach house feel to it , the amenities were ok and was clean on arrival.
