Set in the picturesque Val d’Elsa countryside, La Fornace is surrounded by olive groves, woodland and vineyards, ensuring complete privacy. It is the perfect choice for couples seeking a relaxing stay in an authentic Tuscan setting. Some of Tuscany’s most famous sights are within easy reach.
The nearby village of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, about 6 km away, offers a Coop supermarket, small shops and restaurants. The charming medieval hilltop town of San Casciano is also close by, with further shops and places to dine. Wine enthusiasts will enjoy visiting the renowned Marchesi Antinori winery, just ten minutes away by car, where tastings and lunch at the Rinuccio 1180 restaurant can be enjoyed on a terrace overlooking the vineyards. Memorable day trips include Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena.
La Fornace sits peacefully in the countryside and features a façade of brick and natural stone. The fully private garden includes a well-kept lawn, terracotta flower boxes and a covered terrace for al fresco dining. Guests can enjoy table tennis, a whirlpool and the pool. In the evening, the surrounding pine and cypress trees are softly illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere.
The single-storey villa has been carefully restored. Wooden beamed ceilings and terracotta floors have been preserved, while skylights and large windows fill the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with natural light. Traces of the building’s original use as a historic site remain visible, giving the stylish and comfortable interior its distinctive character.
