This cozy cabin in the woods is located atop the beautiful rolling hills of the Driftless area, just outside of Cross Plains, WI. Nestled on 10 acres of forest, this warm rental is the perfect getaway for a private winter weekend away, a nature/yoga/artist retreat, or a road biking vacation. Located just 30 minutes from downtown Madison, you'll have the peaceful living experience, while being just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Wisconsin's capital city.
Go hiking, snowshoeing, or biking right out of the front door. Visit nearby Mount Horeb, Tyrol Basin, American Player's Theater, or Taliesin. Or just sit by the fire and enjoy complete privacy. Regardless, this cabin will give you everything you need to get away.
About 2,500 square feet with four bedrooms (three with Queen beds and one with bunk beds), the home also includes 3.5 baths, a large dining room, a sunroom, two living room areas, laundry on-site, two large wood stoves, huge decks, high-speed internet (if you must work), and much more.
Base rate for up to 4 guests, additional guest fee applies for each guest over 4. Minimum stay of 3 nights.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this rustic place in the woods! Morning coffee on the deck listening to the birds among the beautiful canopy of trees was fun!! Close to Madison and a ton of other fun activities. Host was excellent at communicating and very helpful.

If you are looking for clean and quiet area to rent this is definitely that. We got to see critters, deer, turkey, chipmunks. It is out away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to enjoy.

Beautifully scenic location, house surrounded by trees. A spacious cabin with log walls, very clean, comfortable beds, and excellent communication with host. Seniors should be aware that there are different levels, one step, on the mail floor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
