Within an hour's drive are numerous regional outdoor adventures such as whitewater rafting, horseback riding, ziplining, fishing, and hiking on the Appalachian Trail. At the base of the mountain (15 minutes) is the Hatley Pointe Lodge, open seasonally. Guests can enjoy lift-served mountain biking during the warmer months and skiing and snowboarding throughout the winter season, making this home an ideal destination in every season. Located mid-way between Asheville (45 minutes) and Johnson City (52 minutes), you'll find nearby grocery and dining options in the cute towns of Mars Hill (30 minutes), Weaverville (36 minutes), and Burnsville (37 minutes). • Due to a steep, winding paved road leading to the Scenic Wolf cabins, 4WD or AWD is required in the winter months between November and February. Many Scenic Wolf Cabins have decks with steep drop-offs. If heights are a concern for your party, please call one of our Vacation Coordinators to ensure this cabin will meet your needs.
• We strongly recommend CSA Travel Insurance to protect your reservation against unexpected events such as inclement weather, medical emergencies, or travel delays.
• Ski Resort Changes. Please note, Wolf Ridge Ski Resort has been sold, and rebranded to Hatley's Point by new ownership. This ski mountain offers limited ski passes per day, and advanced purchase is recommended. This property is located on the same mountain as the slopes of Hatley Point Ski Resort, although during winter it's a 4 mile drive down and around the mountain to reach the lodge.

The property was very clean and the views were beautiful. The rooms were spacious and we really enjoyed the ping pong table and the hot tub. There was quite a difference in AC temperature from the bottom floor to the top floor, but it wasn't terrible. We had great weather and could open windows at night.Communication was very good, frequent and clear. No problem checking in and out. The listing said garbage gets picked up everyday, but maybe that's seasonal. We had plenty of room in the bin for the four days we stayed.The directions said not to follow GPS, but we didn't have any issues on either of the two roads that lead up the mountain. The listing also mentions resort access and a pool, but it looks like the resort went out of business a while ago. Everything was boarded up and the pool/hot tub was not useable. The parking lot was overgrown with the basketball hoops tore down. Not that big a deal since we were just there to relax at the house.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The drive up the mountain wasn't bad at all and the directions given to us made the cabin easy to find. Once we got to the cabin we couldn't believe the view. It was amazing! The couch and bed were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this place.

The views were awesome. The cabin was nice - clean and cozy - but needs work. Front lights were out and maintenance could not repair, said they would be back and never did. Fireplace would not work. Maintenace worked on it, would function but only for about 5 mins at a time - the timer is shot. Freezer did not function properly, reduced to a refrigerator. Alot of the appliances are old and just need to be replaced. Overall it is a great location and a nice cabin.
