HEIDA POOL This cozy and functional home is the ideal place to spend a vacation with family or friends and discover all the charms that the island of Madeira has to offer.
The kitchen and dining room are open-concept, with a table that seats 8 to 10 people.
The kitchen is fully equipped with: an electric stove, range hood, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, kettle, grater, coffee maker, juicer, etc.
The living room features 1 sofa and 3 armchairs, three side tables, and a wood-burning stove for heating.
The bathroom facilities include: a sink, toilet, and shower.
One bedroom has a double bed, 2 nightstands, a dresser, a mirror, a bench, and a chair.
The other bedroom has two single beds, 1 bedside table, a dresser, a mirror, a bench, and a chair.
There is a crib for children up to 5 years old.
In the mezzanine area, there are two single beds, two dressers/nightstands, and a play area for children.
Outside the house, there is an area designated for barbecuing, though it is not covered. On the side of the house, there is a covered porch where you can set up a table and chairs and enjoy the scenery and tranquility of this peaceful part of the island.
There are two outdoor beds/lounge chairs and a hammock.
There is an outdoor pool that can be heated (upon prior notice and payment).
* Pool heating:
Pool heating is optional and costs 120.00 euros per week (temperature of 24°C) and is payable in cash at check-in.
A supplement of 30.00 € per week applies for each additional degree, up to a maximum of 26°C.
Pool heating must be requested at least one week in advance.
What can we enjoy?
From walks along the trails and in the afternoons (about 5 minutes from the house) to bike rides along the trails (about 5 minutes from the house), the beaches are about 20 minutes from home, whether on the south coast (Calheta Beach with its yellow sand, and Praia do Paul do Mar and Jardim do Mar in Calau) or the north coast (the natural pools of Porto Moniz and the black-sand beach at Seixal)
The sunset at Punta del Pargo is one of the most beautiful...

This is a homely house with an effective log fire if it's cooler and a lovely pool and outdoor living area when the weather is warmer. Sunset views each evening as the property looks towards the west. Lovely walking around Ponta do Pargo and the nearby Levada too.

We booked this looking for a quiet place to stay for our last week of vacation. And we loved it. The house if very private, has everything we needed and was very clean. The host was great, made checking in very easy.

We had a wonderful time!
There were all of the necessary amenities to help (washing machine soap, toilet paper etc) and enjoy our stay. We enjoyed the pool and the surroundings.
Being an hour away from the airport or Funchal was not a problem for us and we managed to tour the island and we had some wonderful activities.

Taking my 81yr old dad away I would have benefited from better photos as the property had more stairs than expected and outdoor steps were often uneven. His first and only go in the swimming pool was problematic and hit his confidence. The single bathroom and inability to flush paper in the toilet also presented inconveniences. The property was good but just not suited for our needs.
