Come stay at this beautiful cottage on Chemong Lake 1.5 hours from GTA. The main floor has large windows and a spacious patio with perfect view of the lake. We have a large patio with views of the lake for dining.
The lower level has a kitchenette with a pool table & walk out access. There is a private boat launch on the property.
The Lake is fantastic for boating, fishing, or paddling around.
We have a fire pit to use, kayak, canoe and a paddle boat available from May to October.
Cottage is very spacious with 4 bedroom and a beautiful modern kitchen, fully equipped for a comfortable stay. There is a beautiful gathering space in the basement with a pool table for your entertainment.
Cottage is located in a large lot with plenty of space for outdoor fun and games. There is a large deck for outdoor dining, walkout basement with a view of the lake and a firepit for spending time with your family and friends under the stars.
Additionally, a play structure for kids entertainment.
An outdoor firepit is at your disposal.

Water is from the well but filtered and purified using UV light, suitable for bathing, drinking and cooking

Kayak, Canoe and a paddle boat for enjoying lake Chemong ! Life jackets are provided.
There is a private boat launch on the property.
Lakefield is 10 minutes and Peterborough is 20 minutes away and offers many tourist attractions including boat locks, Kawartha Ice Cream, dining and shopping.
Summer seasonal activities (dock, kayak, canoe etc) : The dock is generally ready for the May 24 long weekend. Kayak, canoe and paddle boats are available from May to October.
There is a fire ban in the Kawartha region for the month of April. Lighting an outdoor fire at this time will lead to penalties imposed by the city officials.
GUESTS ARE TO TAKE GARBAGE AND RECYCLE BACK WITH THEM AT THE END OF THEIR STAY.
NO LOUD MUSIC IS PERMITTED AFTER 10PM AS IT CAN BE A DISTURBANCE TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD.
• Quite hours between 9 pm & 8 am
• No shoes in the house
• Guest should bring their own firewood and ensure fire is put out at end of use.
• Early check in or late check out can be arranged when available based on availability.
• Thank you for your thoughtfulness and consideration in leaving the cottage (inside and out) clean and tidy. For guest use, Cottage has a broom, dustpan, dish soap and vacuum
• No loud music or parties or events at anytime
• No Fireworks are allowed in the property at all times. Its against the township by-law.
• Insects and wildlife are a part of cottage country. Please discourage them by keeping doors and screens closed.
• Maximum two pets allowed.
• Pets cannot be left unattended, and we ask that you pick up after your pet.
• Please do not put anything into the toilets but into the trash cans provided in the washrooms for paper towels, Kleenex, tampons, pads, flushable wipes, hair etc
• Please clean and empty fridge, microwave, and Oven.
• Empty all garbage containers.
• There is a fire ban in the region for the month of April. Lighting an outdoor fire at this time will lead to penalties imposed by the city officials.
• GUESTS ARE TO TAKE GARBAGE AND RECYCLE BACK WITH THEM AT THE END OF THEIR STAY.

The kitchen could use teaspoons, cookie sheet, tea towels, more bowls, dish soap. The cottage was easy to find, the photo indicates a clean lake but the lake was congested with weeds. The screen to the outdoors was stuck and extremely hard to close. The outside could have used a broom to clear the cob webs and the windows needed cleaning. My Husband who is very good pool player thought the pool table needed a new cloth and leveling. Dart board was missing the darts.

Loved this 'cottage'! As a group of 4 fishermen we loved the fact that it had it's own boat launch and large deck overlooking the water. It's very weedy at the launch but a minor issue, as the cottage far outweighed a few weeds on the trailer. This cottage was beautiful, clean, and they had all the amenities we could ask for. We had a little trouble figuring out the lock combination on the front door for some reason but when we tried it on the back there were no issues. Free wifi, 2-3 TV's, pool table and lots of room in two fridges for larger groups if needed. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was another bonus for 4 guys on a fishing trip that are used to 'roughing it'. The fishing was good with lots of water to explore. I would definitely come back again and would highly recommend this property.Ken

Pros & cons of the place.
Pros: beautiful new cottage with lots of space, very clean, location is great from the GTA, extremely helpful property manager
Cons: hornets nest on the main deck, kitchen supplies (knives, plates, glasses, etc) need to be restocked or replaced, lake is not idea for jet skies (lots of weeds) and where the dock is is extremely weedy so even the boat was a bit of an issue. Having the air hockey table setup and and darts we could use would also have helped on the rainy day. Most of these are small things that can be corrected easily.
Overall, we had a great time.

Very nice modern cottage, great views from the kitchen and lounge area of the dock and waterfront area set in a quiet bay of the lake.
Apart from bringing your own food and drink everything else was on site. The property has self powered watercraft; and toys for kids, and a pool and dartboard inside for a rainy day.
We will denitely return again.
