The train station and bus stops are less than 800 meters away, connecting the north and south along the coast; the 20-minute ride to the center of “Viana do Castelo” brings you quickly to the main road, facilitating access to the most important destinations, even without a car, whether for a short or long stay. In winter, the area is popular for relaxation, walks, and easy trips to visit the main attractions; in summer, it’s perfect for enjoying the sun and the beach.

We had a great stay at the Pool House. Easy to find with Google Maps, our arrival was painless. Carlos, and his father, were welcoming and helpful. The house is comfortable and had all we needed. The pool was great. Ten minute walk into the local village: supermarket, pharmacy, bars. Twenty minute walk to the Atlantic Ocean. Great place from which to explore northern Portugal.
We enjoyed our time there.

Carlos and his father gave us a feeling like being at home. The house is fully equipped and very clean. The pool is fabulous. And there is a lot to do in the area. The beaches are not far from outside the front door and you can reach Porto in less than an hour. The father of Carlos gave us some nice tips what to do in the area. Thanks for the recommendations. We would come back anytime
