From the front door guests can take a stroll in MacRosty Park with a Victorian band stand and a fabulous walk along the riverside at Lady Marys Walk. Crieff town centre can be reached within a 5-minute walk and has plenty of places for refreshments and quality places to eat. The local deli specialises in local produce, and independent shops, galleries and craft shops are ideal for an afternoon of shopping.

Crieff holds regular events all year round with a monthly farmers market, Highland Games, a traditional Scottish music festival and the very popular Drovers Tryst Walking Festival. Close by are some excellent tourist attractions, including The Famous Grouse whisky distillery which offers tours and sampling, Innerpeffry Library (Scotland’s oldest free lending library), and Drummond Gardens, one of the finest formal gardens in Europe, dating back to the 1700’s. The gardens were used as a location for the epic TV series ‘Outlander’, and for fans of the series there are lots of historic places to visit in the area used for the filming of this series.

For days out, a visit to Stirling is just over half an hour’s drive away and is well worth a visit, with its historic castle, Wallace Monument and Bannockburn Visitor Centre, shopping centre and a great selection of places to eat. This most scenic area of Perthshire has outdoor activities to suit all tastes, including walking and cycling on quiet roads and tracks, hill walking, mountain biking trails and fishing. If you prefer more strenuous activities, then mountains Ben Vorlich, Ben Chonzie and Ben Lawers provide excellent walking, whilst water sports are available on Loch Earn.
