The Chintana Villa, dating from the 1700s, is located in the open countryside, nestled amid beautifully preserved Mediterranean scrub and set against stunning hilly, rocky landscapes, with ocean views from the pool area. The house was converted from an 18th-century villa and is ideal for large families or groups. It features a kitchen and living room, a private outdoor veranda with a BBQ, and private parking. The enchanting gardens consist of expansive lawns, paths winding through small Mediterranean woodlands, and quiet spots for reading and relaxation, all offering fantastic views of the surrounding landscape. La Chintana is located on the stunning northwest coast near Capo Mannu, along the stretch of coastline between Alghero and Stintino, 6 km from the village of Palmadula. The enchanting La Chintana estate is surrounded by nature trails perfect for walking or biking; the breathtaking views and the chance to discover authentic Mediterranean charm offer unique and evocative experiences for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. These hiking trails allow you to reach the sea in just 35 minutes; the coastline features imposing cliffs covered in Mediterranean scrub (the trails are marked by signs and detailed in the information provided by the property). Just a few minutes’ drive away, you’ll find a wide selection of beaches and outdoor activities; the house is about 25 minutes from Alghero Airport and 20 minutes from the town of Stintino.

Lovely property (an oasis in a very quiet region). Good location for day trips to Alghero and Stintino areas. Pool was also great for the kids. The hosts were absolutely lovely and so helpful when we had a day of 3 very sick children! Highly recommended if you like peace, away from resorts and a bit of real Sardinia.

We stayed for a short week in this Location and enjoyed it very much. There was enough room in the house for living as well as for sleeping. The kitchen was fully equipped. The outside area is beautifully arranged with nice Flowers as well as enough space for playing for the Kids. From everywhere we had a stunning view in the green hills of the area. No noise, no traffic, only pure nature. Although in April the temperatures were below 20 Degrees, we always took our breakfast on the terrace as well as the dinner.
Marco was very kind and helpful, communication went perfect. We would definitely recommend this Location and are looking forward to coming again to Sardegna. With a car, the next beaches, like Pelosa and interesting locations like Alghero, Stintino or Sassari are not far away and there is plenty to discover.

We had a wonderful week at La Chintana with our 3 young daughters. It's just as it says in the description. Very quite and peaceful location, clean with nice gardens and a fabulous swimming pool. Apartments are comfortable and tastefully decorated in a traditional style, and they had everything we needed for our stay. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. A great place for a base if you want to explore the north west of Sardinia. Totally recommended.

This is THE place to go if you're looking for a get-away-from-it-all holiday. The house and gardens are so lovingly looked after that you just can't help feeling well taken care of. The house was clean, tastefully but simply decorated and equipped and the proprietors were very friendly and helpful. We just enjoyed the peace and quiet and the fact that it was well away from any bustle or crowds. One definitely needs a car in order to reach the supermarkets and beaches and to do some sightseeing, however it was always a pleasure to come back to the tranquility of La Chintana after being out for some time. It's certainly a place I would recommend to people looking for some peace and quiet and we would certainly like to visit there again, maybe with our children next time!
