Located on the west coast of Hawaii Island (The Big Island) known for its many golf resorts, Shores at Waikoloa is a gated condominium resort community nestled between two Waikoloa golf courses. A stress-free alternative to mega-resorts-Shores at Waikoloa offers a serene escape with scenic views of Mauna Kea and the impressive lava fields that surround the resort. This one-bedroom, single-level vacation home is located on the 3rd floor of the Sandalwood Tower.
The kitchen features granite countertops and full-size appliances-everything you would need to create the perfect meal. The master bedroom features a comfy king-sized bed. The bathroom features a tiled walk-in shower with a shaving bench and double vanity sinks. A queen sofa sleeper in the living room allows for 4 guests maximum occupancy. Pack as little or as much as you please as this vacation home features a washer and dryer for your added convenience. Very comfortable condo with lots of room and a lovely balcony/lani space. The appliances are a bit dated but seemed to work okay. We choose it because of the central location and enjoyed the convenience of things nearby without feeling crowded.

I enjoyed everything about my stay, especially the quiet, location, the wildlife around the community, sunsets, sunrises and ease of checking in and out. I wish all rentals were like this!

Motel 6 had a better selection of necessities than the condo. No beach gear, ice chest, condiments (like salt and pepper), dull knife set missing scissor, no Big Island travel book,blanket didn't fit bed. Had to call to get compete starter kit. No feeling of extras, very spartan.
