Everything was perfect about this property. The views were divine; the outdoor space exquisite. If you are deciding between this place and another, just understand that the pictures do not do this place justice. It's much nicer in real life. Beatrice was very attentive and helpful. It's easy to find and the village is a short drive a way. We walked down to both the beach and the two villages, but that may be a bit far for some folks. Go to Zorba's for dinner. Do not, however, let your 12-year-old son get a glass of water only to realize it's Raki after his first gulp.

Lovely restful property with outstanding views, lovely pool area and well equipped with everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Sound of the sheep and goat bells was charming, watching the birds of prey was a great pleasure and the added bonus of the military jets doing their exercises was a real unexpected treat for us.The bedrooms being downstairs stayed cool enough for sleeping with just the ceiling fan. The pool design is excellent - the flat ledge and drains cleared the surface of the water brilliantly - no need to net out loads of bugs before you could use it. The sunsets were spectacular with the perfect view from the terraces and then we were delighted to see bats flying about in the dusk and after dark. There are no real negatives about this property. Or only grumble was it was quite a long drive to the main road to get further afield in the island. But if you just want a relaxing base with a fantastic pool and views and the occasional trip to the supermarket and meal out in the lovely little beachside town of Almyrida then this is truly a little gem of a holiday rental. I can't praise Beatice and her husband enough. Great communication, responsive to the tiny issue with the coffee machine we had and the extra pool cleaning all made the holiday even better. The bottle of bubbly on arrival (it was our honeymoon) we so kind too. Overall a fantastic villa but you need a car where its really out of the way - just what we were looking for!!

Very privat and quiet. The pool was absolutely wonderful and during our stay (11 days) it was cleaned two times.The house was very clean an with beautiful details nicely decorated. There was a big amount of towels vor uns. The kitchen was well equipped. For me, with my back and shoulder pain, the beds vere an little bit to hard, but I was able to help myself with the many pillows, we had in the house. So nightsleep was goodThe other Persons had no problems with sleeping harder.... It's individualThe owners of the house are extremely friendly and helpful!!! Every WhatsApp was immediately answered. We are really thankful for this great holiday. The is view is extraordinary!!!!

Villa Hermes is beautifully situated in the hills behind the tiny village of Kambia. Beatrice & Olivier were there to welcome us when we arrived and show us around the villa & pool area. We would recommend this villa to anyone looking for peace & quiet in Crete, we had a wonderful time!
