In the north of Rügen lies the Luna vacation home in the seaside resort of Breege. From Breege, you can discover the “Treasure Island” of Rügen at its most beautiful. This former fishing village is located directly on the Schaabe, the island’s longest sandy beach. Hours of sunbathing and the refreshing coolness of the Baltic Sea ensure the perfect getaway. In Breege itself, you’ll find a stunning marina, hidden coves and headlands, as well as a breathtaking natural backdrop featuring lush flowering meadows and pristine natural beaches. Breege boasts numerous restaurants and cafés where you can indulge in culinary delights even while on vacation. Fresh rolls are available daily at the harbor, and a small supermarket is also within easy walking distance.
From the Breege harbor, you can take a leisurely trip to the neighboring island of Hiddensee or to Ralswiek. This is where the famous “Störtebeker Festival” is held every year. With pyrotechnics, sword fights, and a fireworks display to cap it off, you’ll learn about the incredible story of the pirate Klaus Störtebeker.
To the north of Breege, you’ll discover the famous Cape Arkona. The two lighthouses, in particular, give Cape Arkona a unique landscape. From the lighthouse’s observation deck, you can look out over the open sea and the beautiful landscape of northern Rügen from a height of over 70 meters.
