Unit 6508 - Memories are Made at the Beach -This is a beautiful Gulf Front unit at Gulf Shores-Plantation in the Plantation-Palms - Unit 6508! The next time you vacation on the Alabama Gulf Coast, relax and escape the crowds at our charming 1 bedroom 1 bath condo that sleeps 6. You will love the Gulf Shores-Plantation Resort where the condo is located. It is a private gated community and located on the Fort Morgan Peninsula right next door to Kiva Dunes Golf Course.
This lovely decorated beach-front condo has a view that is to die for! Enjoy the nicely furnished living room with a Smart TV and a sleeper sofa. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a Smart TV. The unit also has 2 built-in bunk beds. You will feel right at home with Wireless Internet, Cable TV, and DVD. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare meals when staying in, including refrigerator, microwave, ice maker and cooking utensils. There is a Table and 4 chairs and 2 Bar Stools. A STARTER Supply of Paper and Soap Products are Provided.
During your stay, you will enjoy the beautiful grounds and the four thousand feet of private, uncrowded, and unspoiled, white sandy beaches. Choose between the outdoor beachside pools or indoor pool. There are 4 outdoor pools and one indoor pool on the property for your enjoyment. Stay in shape with a workout in the fitness center or enjoy one of several relaxing Hot Tubs. The complex features charcoal BBQ grills, tennis courts, shuffle board, game room, putting green and much more!
Attractions include various golf courses, Bellingrath Gardens, 65 landscaped acres in the midst of a 905-acre semi-tropical rain forest. Charters are available nearby for deep sea and in-shore fishing, or you may enjoy a boat trip which allows you to watch the dolphins play. Visit Fort Morgan, offering living history demonstrations and self-guided tours. Take a ride on the Ferry to Mobile and visit the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. Take a drive to Pensacola and visit the National Naval Aviation Museum. Looking for a good deal? Check out the large Tanger Shopping Center offering more than 120 factory outlet stores. The view from this unit was exactly as described, above pools and beautiful view of the ocean! The unit was exactly as pictured and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need. We had two adults and 4 kids and we filled the unit to the max. The stocked hangers and towel hangers everywhere were wonderful to keep the place picked up! The biggest benefit of this unit is the indoor pool during chilly weather! Our kids loved that! The host was very quick to respond to all of our needs and called maintenance to immediately fix our doors and dryer. We would return here for sure. Highly recommend!

If you have little ones with early bedtimes who will be using the bunk beds in the hallway (as we did), I think it's important to know that the balcony curtains are not full blackout curtains. The blackout curtains are only one of the many panels, so light will still come in. When we first walked in, there was also a distinct smell in the condo that smelled like uncooked shrimp. That smell lingered throughout our time there. The shower curtain was rusty, and there was rust in the bathroom. We had access to three pools, but only one was open, and the others were down for maintenance. Some of the property was also not well-maintained (caution tape was present around pools, tennis courts, etc.). The property management service was very professional! We had some issues, and we got prompt responses. Overall, we had a good stay, but there were a few things to note!
