We had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend this property. The house was spacious, clean, comfortable, and we always felt safe. The highlight was the beautiful garden and amazing pool, which were perfect for cooling off after long days of sightseeing.We used the house as our base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. While the drive was a little longer than expected, we appreciated returning to a peaceful setting away from the crowds. Pompeii and other attractions were accessible with a rental car. There were several grocery stores nearby, making it easy to prepare meals at the house.Ida and her brother were wonderful hosts. We were welcomed with a charcuterie board of local specialties and a bottle of Prosecco, a thoughtful gift from Ida's mother, who lives on the property. When we had a Wi-Fi issue, Ida responded immediately and had a technician fix it. She also connected us with a boat tour that ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.A couple of minor drawbacks: the showers were quite small by U.S. standards, and there wasn't an indoor gathering space besides the kitchen. However, the weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed eating most of our meals outside in the gorgeous garden anyway.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return if we visit the area again. Lovely oasis of calm. Great grounds beatifully kept. We stayed in late May and everything was in bloom. Fanastic pool and bbq area.It is an old house full of character. Owner lives on site and is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. A good base to visit Pompei etc and Pasteum and Trentinara to the south. Good for Solano to visit Amalfi coast by ferry. Entry to house grounds by electronic gate. Felt very secure.VRBO lists it as rural which is technically correct, but the house is in an area of agricultural land. However, once inside the grounds this is unimportant as the benefits of the house, garden and pool far outweigh this. We had a great holiday and would go again.

Amazing place to stay!! Rustic, beautiful and authentic. The pool is amazing. We used our car hire to go to Amalfi, Ercolano, Versuvius, Naples and Battipaglia town. The combination of the quiet of the villa and the buzz of the towns was perfect for use. Thanks Ida!

We stayed in the appartment on the 2nd floor. It has 3 double bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. It is a little outdated, but everything is clean and works. The owner (senior lady) lives on the 1st floor but is almost not present so you experience it as if you have the grounds to yourself. The garden and pool are in excellent state. Very nice to be around and in.We enjoyed our stay very much.
