Escape to Royal Chalet, a cozy, secluded 2-bedroom oasis in Gatlinburg's Chalet Village. Perfect for families, this retreat features a stone fireplace, private hot tub, and panoramic mountain views. Enjoy access to 3 clubhouses with pools and tennis. Just minutes from Ober Gatlinburg ski resort and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, it offers the perfect blend of peaceful seclusion and convenient access to top attractions. Comfortably accommodates families and small groups.
Dog Policy: We allow up to 2 dogs max. There is a flat $150 pet fee for up to 2 dogs. No dogs over 100lbs. No other pets are allowed due to owner's allergies.
The space
Welcome to your family-friendly retreat in the beautiful Chalet Village! Inside, the open-plan living area invites you to gather around a welcoming stone fireplace, perfect for relaxing on the comfortable couches. Large windows frame picture-perfect scenes of the surrounding trees and mountains.

* **Kitchen:** A modern, fully equipped kitchen featuring stylish concrete countertops and all you need to prepare delicious meals.
* **Dining:** Share a meal or a morning coffee at the dazzling wood-carved dining table.
* **Bedrooms:** Two comfortable bedrooms for a restful night's sleep.
* Master Bedroom: A spacious and enjoyable King-sized bed.
* Second Bedroom: Queen-sized bunk beds with ample space.
* Both bedrooms are equipped with their own flat-screen TVs.
* **Outdoor Deck:** Step outside onto the panoramic deck to soak in the serene atmosphere. Unwind in the private hot tub or fire up the gas grill for an evening barbecue. You might even catch a glimpse of local wildlife like a mother black bear and her cubs from a safe distance!
The Drive: You will not need 4 wheel drive to get to the Chalet but keep in mind mountain views require driving up the mountains. Expect some curves and we recommend arriving in daylight on your check in day. Once you drive on the mountain a couple of time you will become comfortable.
Guest access
Guests will have private, contactless access to the entire chalet for the duration of their stay. Self-check-in is available via a secure keypad entry system.
In addition to the private chalet, guests have full access to the three Chalet Village Owner's Clubhouses, which feature:
* Multiple swimming pools
* Tennis courts
* Workout facilities
* Game rooms
Please note: The community pools are open seasonally, typically from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Other things to note
* **Accessibility:** Please be aware that this property may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Access from the parking area to the chalet requires walking a short trail that includes steps down from the parking area and steps up to the front door.
* **Cleaning Standards:** We are committed to the highest standards of cleanliness. Our professional cleaning service ensures the cabin is spotless, sanitized, and prepared for your arrival.
* **Security:** For your safety and to coordinate with our cleaning and maintenance teams, there is one security camera on the property's exterior, facing the driveway. It records video and audio but is not monitored during your stay.
* **Firewood:** We provide complimentary firewood when it is available. If you run out, the local market in Chalet Village also has it for sale.

We really enjoyed this cabin! We liked being in the middle of the trees with a 360 deck. My kids kept saying it was a “real life treehouse”. The flat parking space was a bonus. There was a walkway to get down to the cabin, but that avoided having to drive down a steep driveway which we appreciated. The cabin was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. We saw lots of wildlife while driving through the mountains! Highly recommend this cabin!!

This cabin was super nice! My kids loved the queen bunk beds, and jacuzzi tub tv right in their room. We as a family loved how spacious the cabin was, the hot tub was enjoyable, and convenient to have all of the amenities of home including full kitchen, dish washer, and washer and dryer. I hope you like having bear encounters, because we had many! A mama and 3 cubs visited everyday, right on the deck, including one day where we were cooking breakfast, and she tore the screen off the window in the kitchen trying to get some for herself. We saw a few other lone bears as well. Be mindful while loading/unloading your car. One guy helped himself to our cooler. Only downside for us was that 3 out of 4 of us fell victim to yellow jacket stings. There was a nest inside the bottom step before the gravel trail to the cabin (which is the only way down without trying to climb down the steep incline). We made the owner aware and I believe it has been taken care of by now.

Clean, stocked cabin in the Smokey Mountains close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Nice hot tub and saw lots of bears.

Old chalet that has been renovated. Deep in the woods, no view. Steep trek to and from the parking area.
