Large open plan house in the heart of Amador County. A perfect home base for exploring our beautiful wine region. Located in downtown Plymouth, you are only a five minute drive to 45 wineries and tasting rooms in the Shenandoah Valley and only 15 minutes from Fairplay. The house is also only an hour s drive to Kirkwood ski resort, so you can ski or snowboard in between days of wine tasting! The house is walking distance to the Amador County Fairgrounds, the Amador Brewery, and Taste Restaurant.
A home away from home! Large comfortable living room and chefs kitchen make it easy to have a night in and relax, while the proximity to town urges you to go out and explore. BBQ area and fire pit provide a lovely outdoor atmosphere during the beautiful Amador County nights!
When Wayne and I aren't traveling, we occasionally stay in a small studio we have fixed up in the garage. However, it has a separate entrance and yard, so you won't even know we're here!

There is no closet in the master bedroom and only one drawer on each side of the bed for any storage. Fortunately, I always travel with a packable shelving unit, so it wasn’t much of an inconvenience. Also, the sitting area with firepit on the front porch is basically a small area next to the driveway facing the neighbors, who appear to be hoarders of some king. Back yard is off limits and locked. Otherwise, it was a nice house, especially for the cost, and all of my guests loved it.

The Pokerville Retreat had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! And so close to sooo many wineries! Our host was responsive when we reached out with questions. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We had a great stay at the Pokerville Retreat. Beds were comfy, house was very clean. The welcome wine bottle was a nice touch! The kitchen was large, so a few of us could be cooking and using together no problem. Location was PERFECT. We did a lot of wine tasting north of Plymouth but also traveled to Sutter Creek and other small towns so location was very central for all of that. Highly recommend this spacious home for a stay in Amador Valley.

We found the house to be very comfortable and it felt like home. There was plenty of room for two couples and one dog. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed walking in the area. We appreciated the bottle of local wine left for us by the hosts! We would stay again.
