Beautifully appointed with handsome furnishings and fine amenities, the Heron Hide-Away is the ideal place to rest, relax and rejuvenate after long days up in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. Fairly new to the vacation rental market, it boasts heated flooring, new appliances, furniture...basically everything is brand new! We guarantee you will not be disappointed if you choose this beautiful home for your visit to Three Rivers. And, the best part...you are welcome to bring your family dog!
The owners have spared no expense in renovating this locally designed & built home in anticipation of your complete satisfaction. Add to that the fact that they chose the manager of the last five years' "Best Vacation Home Rental" to assure that your stay will be exemplary. You have many choices of lodging in our quaint town...but none can guarantee impeccable service combined with luxurious accommodations. Situated on almost 5 acres of private river frontage, you have full access to the river and incomparable views of the peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Stroll down to take a dip in the swimming hole, then return for an evening beverage and relaxation in the screened-in sun room with hearty outdoor seating.
Essential amenities include 4 new mini-split A/C units, unlimited Wifi, DirecTV, a landline, high-end linens, laundry facilities, a full kitchen, propane BBQ, cozy woodstove (with firewood provided seasonally), heated floors for chilly nights, information about the national parks and local services, and much, much more.
Two bedrooms offer queen beds and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. We also provide 2 twin size fold-out mattresses (with linens) for your comfort. One bathroom has a shower/tub combo and the other has a walk-in shower only.
There is ample parking for several cars, and a shuttle to the national park is also available seasonally. Please inquire about availability and location for pick up.

We loved our stay in the cabin! We were looking for a quiet, private space with great river access because our main focus was swimming, fishing, and enjoying nature and the outdoors. The house is located on a big plot of land with a short walk to the river. It takes about 1 minute to walk straight down from the house OR taking the dirt road and walking along the fence).The river didn’t disappoint! It was great for swimming and diving because some of the spots were more than 6 feet deep (we went in July). It was hot, and the water wasn’t too cold, but still refreshing, especially in the mornings. There was lots of trout, but we fished less and swam more. The mosquitoes and other bothersome insects were pretty much nonexistent and came out only after sunset, and mostly only by the water. The house was spacious and comfy, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable, with plenty of sleeping space for 4 people. We cooked mostly on the grill. When out of the house and river, we went to Sequoya National Forest. It took about 1 hour to get to the Big Trees trail. Please be aware that if you want to visit the Crystal Cave, you need to purchase your tickets in advance while in town because the Internet will not be available in most places up there in Sequoya. Three Rivers has a nice museum and a number of interesting shops and places to eat. We enjoyed our lunch at Riverview Grill and Bar, the nearby frozen yogurt place, and the candy shop right next to it.

Our group included my parents, my kids (11 amd 14) and us. Each of us LOVED this stay, but for different reasons. The house was described perfectly - it was cozy, with a great location, and well stocked. The river was the best screen-free respite for our kids after long days in Sequoia/Kings Canyon, and the back patio was a quiet and peaceful space for evening conversation.The kitchen is on the smaller side, which was fine for us as we bought pre-made meals with little need for prep (it just would have been tight if we were cooking large meals). The beds were on the firmer side, and were moderately comfy, but tt was really nice having 2 single beds for our kiddos.Also, Robin was such a lovely host. This was our first CA stop on a long family vacation, and she was reassuring, easy to reach, and so helpful! We gave it a family score of 9/10 stars, with my 11 year old saying he wished we didn't have to leave so soon (best recommendation a place can get!)

the open kitchen, dining, and living room space was great for my family to cook meals and relax after a long day adventuring. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean adn well-stocked, and the AC units were easy to use to keep everything at a comfortable temperature.
