We are in San Lorenzo, directly in front of the old Central Market, very close to the Duomo and the most important cultural sites and amenities. Liberty style architecture. The apartment is on two levels. It is very calm - no noise will disturb you - and it is also very close to the main railway station, Santa Maria Novella.
The neighborhood is lovely and vibrant during the day. At the Central Market, you will find a wide variety of Italian food products. In the San Lorenzo historic street market, there are many characteristic stalls, one after the other, lovely Florentine leather goods and many other items. Nearby are many bars, cafes, and wine, pastry, food, clothing and jewelry shops. Santa Maria Novella railway station, 10 m by foot.

The double bed is very comfortable, the apartment is on the top floor without a lift. The apartment is near the railway station of Santa Maria Novella, 10 minutes walk and close to major points of interest in the city, such as the Duomo, the Uffizi, the Academy of Fine Arts, where is the original David, in short you are in the center. The best thing is the location, and the accommodations were good. Having read the reviews we knew what to expect and were not surprised. The downsides were mainly the six flights of stairs and the fact that the bathroom is shared. Antonio was accommodating and offered good advice about what to see and where to eat. A couple things that could be done easily to improve the stay for guests would be to provide some closet and/or drawer space and to have a clear place in the bathroom for a guest towel (rather than in the bedroom).

Location, location!! So easy to walk to all the main attractions in Florence. Very close to Santa Maria Novella Train Station.

This is a good spot if you're looking for something that is centrally located, but it was unclear (at the time of booking) that this was a shared facility. It was really nice staying somewhere that was so close to the middle of Florence, but sharing a bathroom that wasn't very clean and staying in a room next to the host's daughter was not ideal.
