We grew up here so we know this is the best location on the Isle of Palms. It is a 5BDR / 4BA / 4,000 sq ft. house all on one level. There is plenty of room for the kids and adults to spread out and have their own space. There are hardwoods throughout the house except for the tile in the 4 bathrooms (tile), kitchen (tile), sunroom (tile) and wood deck.
We specialize in the details. For instance we provide amenities such as 4 beach chairs, beach toys, linens, kitchen spices and seasonings, laundry detergent, shower bar soap, dishwasher detergent, kayaks, life jackets, boogie boards, and so much more are included! If you had to rent / buy / or pack any of this you would spend way more than you thought. We provide it for free!
Having your own private dock allows you to fish, crab, swim, or boat right in Hamlin Creek which is just off the Intracoastal waterway. Dolphins are almost always seen in the creek. Use our 3 kayaks and 2 paddle boards or bring your own boat. The dockhouse gives you lots of shade and is my favorite place during a rainstorm. If it rains, enjoy the sunporch with its pool and ping pong table,
The walk to the beach is 2 short blocks and takes 5 minutes. There is a nice safe bikepath directly to the beach.
The home is equipped with smart screen tvs, cable service with lots of channels, and wifi. Remember you are on an island so my recommendation is to unplug and take advantage of the deepwater dock, beach, proximity to Charleston, and rich history of the area. We have a ping pong, pool, and air hockey table on the sunroom.
Since we are local we can point you to the best restaurants, shopping, historical areas, fishing, and surfing spots, and places to rent bikes, jet skis, etc..
All bed linens, kitchen towels and bath towel sets are provided for your convenience. We include a starter set of toiletries such as toilet paper, bath and dish soaps, paper towels, etc. If you need to restock you are 1 mile from a Harris Teeter. We also provide you with 4 beach chairs, an umbrella, and a beach buggy to roll any other items to the beach. You only need to bring or plan to rent beach towels.

The house was very relaxing and enjoyable for everyone including my grandsons ages 2 and 4. The beds were very comfortable. My favorite spot was the screen porch, especially during an afternoon storms. The dock was my husbands favorite spot to dock his boat so that he could go fishing and crabbing, I thought it was a great place to watch the sun rise.

This was our second stay at this property and the new renovations were very nice and made the place more spacious. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing from the dock which had been upgraded also. Everything you need to enjoy the beach was also available and in good shape. The house being one level is great for young and old. You will not be disappointed with this place. The host was great and we are already looking forward to a return stay.

Our family retreat, consisting of eight cousins from four states, gathered at this house in April, 2026. The house is located between the intercoastal waterway and the ocean, just a short walk to the beach. The house was PERFECT for us; plenty of space for coffee on the porch in the morning and dinners at the family size table in the dining room. We also enjoyed the lovely dock overlooking the intercoastal in the back yard. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of room for everyone to sleep well. Our host was super helpful. We hope to stay here again next year. Thank you!!

The communication with the owner was exceptional, especially since he lives in the Asheville area and we were there just after hurricane Helene. With that being said, there are some unresolved issues that others have also committed. There was an issue with the hall smoke detector (chirping) and the owner instructed us, the guest, to disconnect after being told to change the battery and then clean the sensor.
While all but one bathroom is extremely outdated, one had tiles popped out around the drain and was unusable. There are 4 bathrooms with one being a suite.
Overall, the house served its purpose but myself and other family members were disappointed in the overall condition of the house considering the cost, along the nonchalant interaction with the home owner regarding the smoke detector would prevent me from staying here again or referring others. I could post pictures that are not posted of the bathrooms and general appearance of the home.
