The main-level master features a king bed and Smart TV, while the upstairs suite includes a queen bed, futon, and private bath. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room with gas fireplace, Wi-Fi, and Smart TV. Unwind on the wraparound deck or covered porch with gas grill. Explore the Nantahala National Forest at Jackrabbit Mountain, less than five minutes from the property, with trails for mountain biking and dog-friendly hiking. Just 25 minutes away, Fires Creek Recreation Area is a local favorite for scenic hikes, swimming, and trout fishing.
Across the Georgia border, discover High Shoals Falls Trail, a 30-minute drive, or head to Alpine Helen, 45 minutes away, for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
After a day of exploring, unwind at the restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee, and savor the area’s local flavor.

We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. So much to do and see right in town. We have a handy Welcome Book in the house full of Places to Eat, Things to Do, Shopping, Hiking and Waterfall Trails. Wineries abound; they’re everywhere! And a short 25 min drive to Helen for tubing or zip lining.
There are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters... The fellas will help you out! All kinds of water toys too like jet skis, standup paddle boards and kayaks.
Hike or drive to the apex of Bell Mountain, which overlooks Lake Chatuge below and provides picturesque mountain views. Shooting Creek Overlook is breathtaking. Visit Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. Jackrabbit Mountain and Chatuge Dam. Both Towns County (Hiawassee GA) and Clay County (Hayesville NC) have super parks and beaches. Trailheads of the Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine, are less than 10 miles from this home.
Closer to town is the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds that hosts the Georgia Mountain Fair each summer. Be sure to stop by Main Street to peruse the charming shops, quaint antique stores, and tasty restaurants.

Quaint, quiet and cozy. This cabin is an excellent stay for those that want a quiet retreat in the mountains. An easy commute from Hiawassee town center but far enough to feel you’ve escaped for a bit! Beautiful views and the home is in excellent condition. Extremely clean and a very responsive host. We’ll be back!

Beautiful cabin - it was missing the Keurig but thankfully Ingles close by and able to purchase some regular coffee.
Some road work was being done so a slight inconvenience but overall excellent stay.

The house was very clean; lawn freshly mowed. The house is very comfortable. Kitchen well appointed. The views are amazing.

This cabin is wonderful. It's clean. It's comfortable and, the views from the front porch are breathtaking. The kitchen is well appointed for easy cooking. The bed in the primary bedroom on the first floor is very comfortable. The living area is spacious. Communication with the property manager was easy. It's a steep drive up the mountain on a narrow road but it's paved and not difficult like other cabins we have stayed in. This place gets an A rating from us and if we stay in the area again, it would be the first place we would check for availability.
