The local bus and train station offer regular services to Norwich and the excellent coastal resort of Sheringham, and daily boat hire and river trips are available. A model village and Wroxham Barns craft centre are located on the edge of the village. Experience a nostalgic trip by visiting the Bure Valley Steam Railway, Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway which runs between the historic market town of Aylsham and Wroxham.

The city of Norwich with its cathedral, museums, theatre, cafés and shops is just 8 miles away. The area is criss-crossed with numerous footpaths and cycling trails, and for keen walkers, there is the 61-mile Weavers Way, a long distance footpath that winds through the best parts of the Broads, from Cromer to Great Yarmouth.
