The beams and fireplace are at least 450 years old, and many are older salvaged timbers. A short walk uphill to the town centre, supermarkets, local shops, pubs, a street market on Friday mornings, bus and railway stations, and downhill to the quay and the river for fishing, boating, extensive riverside walks and cycling at Dunwich Heath. Lovely comfortable cottage with good fixtures and fittings. Lots of individual and quirky touches. Owners very welcoming and solicitous. Good location for the town centre and river walks. We really enjoyed our stay in this part of Suffolk.

The property was very quaint with lots of original features. It was comfortable and warm and spotlessly clean. Very friendly hosts and a small welcome pack on arrival. It is in a good location with close access to public transport if you want to leave the car behind. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Quaint, very cleverly furnished to suit the age and original purpose of the property, loved its quirkiness. Blessing was the en suite upstairs as you did not have to negotiate the stairs in the night.
