The apartment is very conveniently located near all the major attractions in Volterra. It was very comfortable and clean with a large, modern bathroom and nicely appointed kitchen. There is parking not too far away and we used the recommended parking app so we didn’t have to constantly add hours or minutes to our parking. We did get permission to drive into the ZTL zone to drop off our luggage but I would not recommend doing that unless one has a very small car and are comfortable driving into narrow alleys. The apartment is on three floors so it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We are in our 70s and didn’t have any issues but hauling suitcases up stairs might be a problem for some.

Lots of room on 3 floors very close to all the sites

The place has 3 storeys -- kitchen, living room/bathroom, and bedrooms are all on different levels. No parking nearby and the night we arrived it was raining. The place had a terrible smell of sewer. It cleared out in time, but our, arrival was miserable.Another host keft us a welcome package wuth wine, pasta, olives, and biscuits. I wish Riccardohad done the same!.
