Owain’s Lake View offers the perfect relaxing getaway, occupying the entire wing of a lakeside property. The one-bedroom apartment boasts sensational views of Maelog Lake from the private decked terrace.
The apartment is wonderfully spacious, featuring a vaulted ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows, and wooden floors, creating a bright and airy feel. The open-plan living area and kitchen are beautifully appointed with modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. The apartment benefits from its own independent entrance, private patio, incredible closed deck, and private parking. It is pet-friendly and wheelchair accessible, making it suitable for all guests.
The spacious master bedroom is filled with natural light from two sets of patio doors. The luxurious split super-king bed with a memory foam mattress is adjustable, allowing you to enjoy a cup of morning coffee and the papers in bed while taking in the stunning views of the lake and surrounding countryside. The en-suite wet room has a rainfall shower with a height-adjustable shower arm, his and hers double washbasins, and a toilet.
The charming garden is enclosed and features a freshwater pond seamlessly blending into its natural surroundings.
The Neighborhood:
Llanfaelog (said: hlan-Vay-log) is a quiet Anglesey village, just a few minutes inland from the bustling seaside resort of Rhosneigr.
It's a peaceful base with easy access to some of Anglesey's best natural and coastal spots. Coed Cwr y Pwll, a National Forest right nearby, has woodland trails, wildflower meadows and a pond to explore. A short hop away, Rhosneigr's Traeth Crigyll beach is made for water sports, with Funsport running kitesurfing and paddleboarding lessons, followed, ideally, by a seaside ice cream.
By car, you can reach Trearddur Bay's Trefignath Burial Chambers, Porth Diana Nature Reserve, or pick up the Wales Coast Path for a proper walk. Whether you're after adventure or a slower pace, Llanfaelog makes a solid base for either.
Getting Around:
The property includes private parking and is close to Ty Croes station (about 2 minutes by car). While there are limited buses, driving is the easiest way to get around Anglesey from here.

Second visit here and already booked for next year! Fantastic location with awesome views and sunsets. Well equipped and spotlessly maintained. My only criticism is that the hedges need pruning to make more of the lovely views. Really peaceful and relaxing. We can’t wait to come back

The cottage was bigger inside than expected. Light, airy and well equipped for all our needs. There were books, games and dvds in the drawers, we didn't know beforehand so brought our own. The views and sunsets were wonderful and watching the planes from RAF Valley was like having your own private airshow! Lots of songbirds to see and hear and frogs and toads in the pond by the patio.There are some lovely walks through the meadow and around the lake, Rhosneigr is around 30 mins on foot. Due to heatwave and husband recovering from hip replacement didn't get out as much as we'd have liked but the smart TV had lots of available channels and a lovely picture and there is a combined TV dvd player in the bedroom. The beds are extremely comfortable.too. We took our own tower fan and the owners had provided a fan and came with a second towards the end of our stay. The Anglesey Lettings team have been extremely friendly, helpful and efficient before and during our stay. We had a problem with the folding doors and a member of the team were on site and fixed it straightaway.
The only downside was that the outside area needs a lot of TLC, which we were already aware of from another review, but is not as secure as we thought, one of our dogs ended up in the pond several times and they both managed to get through into the garden of the neighbouring property! We understand from talking to a team member that the outside area is going to be tackled later in the season. Had the outside area been in better condition we would have given the property a five. We do hope to go back one day when the garden has been updated and secured as it was so lovely.

A lovely cottage with all you need for a short break, amazing view…watching all the wildlife on the lake. Comfy beds and well equipped kitchen.

Lovely spacious property with a sunny garden overlooking the lake, perfect for dogs. Excellent for a couple, keen to explore Anglesey... great walk around the lake. The adjustable beds were definitely an added bonus and unexpected treat.Advisable to take your own cleaning products ie dishwasher tablets, kitchen cleaner...as known were provided. Access is via a very narrow single track and may be challenging for low vehicles, we didn't feel the property was particularly well signposted from the road and almost took the track in the hope it was correct. More obvious signage to the actual property once in the grounds would also help guests. Anglesey is a beautiful area to explore and quieter than many other well known areas in Wales.
