With its diverse landscape, rich cultural heritage, and breathtaking natural beauty, Rügen attracts nature lovers, history buffs, and those seeking relaxation. The island’s coastline is lined with rugged chalk cliffs that rise majestically into the deep-blue Baltic Sea. The Königsstuhl is famous for its breathtaking views of the picturesque coastline. Here, you can hike in the footsteps of Caspar David Friedrich and admire the unique beauty of nature. Another highlight of Rügen is the idyllic Baltic Sea resort of Binz with its impressive architecture. Here, guests can stroll along the beach promenade or relax in the spa gardens. A visit to the historic Granitz Hunting Lodge, which towers above the treetops, is also an unforgettable experience. For nature lovers, Rügen offers many hiking opportunities, including the Jasmund National Park, which boasts unique flora and fauna. Other attractive destinations for hikers and cyclists include the Rügen Bodden Landscape and the Southeast Rügen Nature Park.
