Very nice, air-conditioned apartment for 2 people (+ 2 young people). Fully equipped with living / dining kitchen, small salon with armchairs and (sofa) couch, fireplace, CD radio and satellite TV, two bedrooms (one of them with bunk beds 2x 90x190 cm e.g. for teenagers). The bathroom with shower / toilet was renovated as well as the apartment.
Two other renovated apartments for 2 adults (plus 1 child) object no. 5337954 and one for 4 -6 people (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) object no. 759732 are also available here.
The two extra sun terraces and the large pool, all with wide sea views, as well as a barbecue area await the guests. Here at Vila Monte Luz you will feel comfortable and spend a wonderful holiday.
From the pool and terraces you have a panoramic view of the beach and the sea as well as over the bay of Ferragudo to the Praia da Rocha marina. The ancient Castelo Sao Joao do Arade is your neighbor, so to speak. The sandy beaches of Praia Grande with beautiful localities are right on the doorstep and the romantic town center of Ferragudo is only a short stroll away. Here you will find everything you need e.g. B. many good restaurants and pubs. The unique location of the apartment offers something special for every vacationer.
Your apartment in Villa Monte Luz is on the outskirts of the old fishing village of Ferragudo and in the vicinity of the historic St. Castle. Joao do Arade, right on the fine sandy beach and the Atlantic. The vast natural bay 'Praia Grande' with its extensive sandy beaches is well protected by the offshore breakwater. There are two local restaurants, two popular beach bars and many sports facilities below the apartment on the beach.
Ferragudo itself is an old, traditional fishing village with haunted alleys and old buildings in the typical Algarve style. A short walk takes you from your apartment to the center with the piazza with its cafes and shops and on to the small harbor with its fish restaurants and bars.
On the other side of the Bay of Ferragudo lies the lively city of Portimao and Praia da Rocha with its attractive marina, promenade and many shops, where the restaurants and bars and night clubs are not the only places in Praia da Rocha at night. , During the season, you can take a water taxi from Ferragudo to the pier of the new marina in Portimao. From there you can continue shopping .....

This property far exceeded my expectations. The host and housekeeper were both so obliging and helpful. We know Ferragudo quite well but have never stayed only visited for days when staying nearby and this was perfect for a short break. The location overlooking the beach is just perfect and we had virtual sole use of the pool (there are 4 properties here so it is shared) and there were plenty of beds and space. The property is of traditional style and really pretty. Our bathroom had a large shower, toilet and 2 sinks. There was air con and a nice seating area right outside. There is a steep walk to the shops and main village area but if you needed a lot of shopping a taxi ride to the nearby Lidl would be perfect. We were more than happy using the bars and restaurants on the beach. There are ample sunbeds on the beach when we visited (end of May) and also room to lie on the sand too. Would 100% recommend.

A fabulous apartment set in secure gardens with a pool and terrace over looking the beach.Fantastic location beside the beach and a 10 minute stroll to the main square in the village.We had a lovely stay and plan to return .

There were ants in the kitchen drawers and seemed to appear from nowhere if you brought out food. There was a bit of a walk to the nearest shop, up and down hills. Not ideal for carrying things like water etc. We had to get taxis everywhere. Not great for anybody with mobility issues. On the plus side, you are right beside the beach which has places to eat, canoes, sun loungers and even a masseuse (all at an extra cost). The place was clean enough but could do with some maintenance such as towel rail fixing to the wall properly for example. Sandra was lovely and very friendly and spoke brilliant English. She works very hard, that much is obvious. On the surface it was fine. There are 4/5 maybe more apartments inside a secure compound with parking for your car (if you have 1) and you can only get in with a key or a fob. So you feel safe at night. The 2 bed apartment we rented was very small with 1 room having a double bed and the other having bunk beds in quite a tiny room.
