If you book to stay here you are not just booking accomodation but also booking an experience. We loved staying here. It was a fantastic experience for us. We enjoyed making matcha and cooking on a traditional grill. We also loved the traditional bath.

Very traditional and stylish with modern and traditional toilet facilities. Host was amazing and cooked us some amazing bread that was ready to eat first thing in the morning

This is such a special place. Everything was amazing - from the welcoming host, the roasted mochi and matcha tea, steaming hot bath to the ofuro. The host thought of everything - there are English instructions for all parts of the house, tea and coffee available and fresh bread in the morning. The location is a little out of the way, in a quiet residential neighborhood, but the train is a 2 minute walk away. This is not a hotel so you won't find fluffy beds, but the house is unique and comfortable and it was the highlight of our Japan stay.
