Villa Ixora is an 'au natural' villa. Main living space is cooled by the tropical trade winds of the Caribbean however; each bedroom has newly installed ACs for your comfort during your nightly sleeps in paradise.
As you leave the powder white sands and calm turquoise waters of Maho Bay, you travel a national park mountain road bordered by towering palm trees and other lush vegetation. At 1000 feet you ascend a steep private drive and behold a gorgeous Caribbean villa opening to spectacular views; you've arrived at Ixora.
Ixora is the former home of the late Stephen Ambrose bestselling author and historian. The HBO series Band of Brothers was based on his book.
Your sense of awe will be further enhanced as you step inside Ixora and survey this very beautiful and private, 5-bedroom, 4 bath, luxury home. Ixora consists of 3 traditionally styled buildings connected by decks, tiled walkways, and a garden patio. The bedrooms consists of 2 king ensuites and 3 queen bedrooms.
A 60 foot pool, surrounded by a 75 foot deck, a dining gazebo, abundant deck furniture, and stunning views provide a delightful daytime playground. At night the low voltage site lights, the breathtaking view, tranquil privacy and the fabled Caribbean moonlight all combine to produce an irresistibly romantic, peaceful, and relaxing evening setting.
The price is based on the number of people who occupy the property. Nightly rate is based on a 1-4 occupancy. Each additional guest above 4 is charged a per person per nights fee. Please enter the correct TOTAL number of guests including children when booking the property. Only paying guests are allowed on the property.
Solar and Tesla backup system to be installed by the end of 2026. Owner and property manager are not responsible for power or internet outages due to the island's electric company. No refunds within 60 days of arrival. For family or weather emergencies you can purchase trip insurance through www.insuremytrip.com. No refunds for tropical storms, hurricanes, or utility company power outages. We highly recommend trip insurance.

We had a great vacation with the family and the house is amazing. Exactly as in the description and the pictures! Outstanding view of Coral Bay and excellent for a family vacation. Everything was working and clean. Communication with the host was professional, friendly and responsive. We are planning to stay again next year!

Two families with 6 total people for a spring break trip. The house is a great layout with 2 separate buildings with bedrooms and one common space with living room and kitchen. The location was perfect with easy access to the North Shore beaches, coral bay and hiking. The views were as described and oictured…stunning. Our disappointments were the lack of A/C and hot tub. While there is a constant breeze and fans available, the humidity and bugs were a constant problem. Be prepared to hear cars on Centerline Road. This was not a big issue but with being on the hill, we weren’t expecting to hear the traffic. Over all the villa was part of a magical week in St John for our crew.

The house was perfect for our group of 10. The view is incredible. Everything was clean and the pool area was huge with plenty of chairs.
