Perfectly positioned, lovely property, easy walking to both the old city and the modern one. Access to supermarkets(by car) and small shops by foot. Martine obviously lives her home, as a host she was perfect, available if needed but not intrusive. The pool is a big plus if you have teenagers.

Lovely welcome from Martine. House is fantastic and we loved the outside space. Also it’s only around a 10 minute walk to the Place Carnot, shops, restaurants etc. a couple of hand towels would have been useful as well as something insulated to put shopping in but these are small niggles. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We had a lovely week in Carcassonne. Saw one of the Tour de France stage finales around the corner, hired bikes, had a day in narbonne and celebrated a 21st birthday. Beautiful, well equipped and characterful property.
