Cottages of Live Oak, One of St. Simons Best communities is conveniently located off Demere Road, just before Beach Drive. Only a few minutes walk to the Beach or the Village Area make this cottage one of the best locations on the island. Private salt water pool and Hot tub plus great location!! Easy 10 -15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride to beach, or lighthouse or Village.

Kahlua's Cottage offers a unique Beach Bungalow style with pine floors, open and spacious rooms, and three (yes, three) porches. Enough porches and patios(5 total) so everyone can find their favorite spot to escape and relax while staying here.
The living area has plenty of seating and a very comfortable slipcovered sofa and loveseat (with full size hide a bed) and chair. A fireplace anchors the light filled room and a beautiful painting by Coastal Artist is hanging over the fireplace. Livingroom opens up to the screened in porch at the far end of the room. The screen porch and Bed Swing will become your favorite spot to relax while staying at Kahlua's Cottage. The dining room table is an antique farm table and seats six to eight. The wall color in the dining room and kitchen reminds you of the color of the Mediterranean or the Caribbean. All the windows in the dining room view the private pool and hot tub. The fully appointed kitchen boast stainless steel appliances, gas stove, Stainless Steel Refrigerator. The unique open viewed glass cabinets above the kitchen peninsula area. filled with colorful glassware. There is patio off the screen porch that has a gas grill and a charcoal grill plus a table and 4 chairs.
The primary bedroom is on the main level and has a queen-size mattress and box springs, dresser and vanity table plus smart tv. The other two bedrooms are upstairs as well as the second full bath and the laundry area and sundeck. One of the upstairs bedrooms has twin beds and the other has a queen size bed . One of the upstairs bedrooms has a small tv. There is a full size hide a bed in the loveseat in the living room. The upstairs sundeck has chairs and side tables. It is the perfect spot to enjoy the warm sunny winter days or watch the stars in the summer.
The front porch has two rockers and a porch swing and beckons you with a wonderful Blue front door. The salt water pool and hot tub were redone in June of 2025 and are the icing on the cake for this very well appointed and relaxing cottage. Hot tub can be heated to 100` by controls located in the home. Pool can be heated to 82`-85` for $90 per day(details for heating pool will be sent to you after full payment is made). Park your car when you arrive and walk to the village or beach. Or rent bikes or golf carts for the best rides on the island. Pet fee if your dog will be joining you is $250 per dog (click on pet fee when booking to include). Enjoy!

We had the pleasure of staying at Kahlua’s Cottage the week of July 12th. This was our first time staying at a beach house instead of where we have stayed while in St. Simon’s. The two bedrooms upstairs worked out perfectly for our teenagers, while we had the master bedroom downstairs. We were grateful that there was a gate to set up at the bottom of the stairs to keep our youngest from wondering upstairs.The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the kiddos. I enjoyed spending time out at the sunroom. There’s only one thing I would change, and that is the Bulldog memorabilia in the upstairs hallway. While my husband and kids enjoyed looking at the wall as they are Dawg fans, all I can say is…Go Vols!Thank you again Beverly!

We had a wonderful stay at Kahlua’s Cottage! Our family of four (two adults, two teenagers) and our 15-year-old Westie felt right at home. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the thoughtful pet-friendly touches like the dog bed and bowls.The location is fantastic. We rented a golf cart and bikes, and I highly recommend both. It was easy to get to the Village Pier, restaurants, shops, and the beach. Riding bikes along the beach each morning was one of our favorite parts of the trip.The pool and spa were perfect after a day in the sun, and I loved ending each evening on the screened porch swing with a good book. We had one issue with a neighbor blocking the driveway, but the owner responded immediately and resolved it right away. Excellent communication!A couple of minor things to know: there weren’t any beach chairs or pool floats provided, and the pool area has Adirondack chairs but no lounge chair. We picked up a float and pool noodles locally, so it wasn’t a big deal.Overall, we made great family memories here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. If you’re visiting St. Simons, Kahlua’s Cottage is a great choice!

The house was beautiful and clean. The host was always quick to get back to me with any questions I had. It is a great location for anything you want to do. We rented a golf cart and drove it everywhere we went. Lots of great restaurants nearby and quick drive to the beach on the golf cart. Would definitely recommend!
