Recently remodeled single story modern ranch with hickory floors and natural light. Three blocks to Tamarack Beach, take the boardwalk or lighted rail trail for a short walk/bike to the numerous offerings of Carlsbad Village. Large open kitchen with four seat breakfast bar and ample counter space. Massive farm table seats 10 for holiday dinners or family breakfast. Master bedroom has a king bed, attached bathroom and large closet with built-in storage to hide suitcases and feel at home. Two additional bedrooms provide king and queen beds with a shared hallway bath. Main living space has a streaming 4k TV and wireless sound-bar. Separate den features a fireplace, comfortable sectional and 55" streaming television. Fenced back-yard has covered patio, grill and heated outdoor surf shower to take care of the beach sand. Shed holds beach wagon, beach toys, boogie boards, chairs and umbrella. Outdoor games include Bocce, ladderball and cornhole sets. Easy freeway access, 1 hour to Disney, minutes to LEGOLAND. Circular driveway with parking for 4. High speed internet and WiFi. Large capacity washer and dryer.

Very family friendly house with an excellent location, walking distance to the beach and Starbucks and a short drive to many restaurants and shops. Very easy to check in, clean, great parking and good communication with host prior to trip. We would definitely stay here again and suggest to others.

Close enough to walk to the beach and to Carlsbad Village. This property is a show stopper. We were very comfortable anywhere we sat or slept. The additional living room gave an extra cozy getaway feel. Open floorplan and patio space gave room for guests. Amenities for the beach made life easy. We would stay here again most definitely! PS. The Avocado tree!

Just completed a wonderful week at this property. We have stayed here just about every year this decade, and it has been great every time. The ocean is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk, depositing you at the Tamarack state beach with wide swaths of sand for lounging and building castles, and surf for playing, swimming and surfboarding, with lifeguard stations along the way. The seawall has promenades both down by the beach and up on top along Carslbad Drive, making for very nice walking and strolling that not only provides beautiful ocean views (we often see porpoise out beyond the surfers) but also leads into the heart of Carlsbad with restaurants and shopping. The rail trail along the Coaster and Surfliner tracks is an even closer path from the house to town center, which we highly recommend on wednesday afternoon for the farmers market. A good grocery store, pizza place, etc is about 3 minutes away by car, along with ready access to I-5 if you are going into San Diego.In short the location of this property is ideal for a relaxed stay in Carlsbad with a focus on the beach and town. The house itself is well appointed and comfortable, and though it has AC, the well placed windows and proximity to the beach provide cool ocean breezes. We make great use of the backyard, with comfortable seating, an outdoor dining table, and yard to play in. Similarly, the large and beautiful farmers table in the dining room allows for comfortable group meals and family games. Love it!
