This house was a great place to stay in the Forrest. The home was very clean and we loved the big windows. We all enjoyed our stay. The one thing we struggled a lot with was how remote the home actually is. None of our cell phones worked at all and we were unable to get our check in instructions before we arrived as once we left the Portland area, our cell phones did not work. Word to the wise is to screen shot all instructions before heading to the house. The house is located in a very quite area and is very peaceful. We appreciated the old school Oregon maps and the helpful information in the cabinet. Would stay here again!

This is a beautiful cabin in a spectacular location. We saw lots of wildlife from the deck, and we were just a few minutes away from a wide variety of fun activities: hiking, mountain biking, lake lounging... We absolutely loved staying here.A few things to consider: The cabin is mostly well-stocked. The kitchen has lots of amenities. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds and lots of lovely pillows and blankets. The bathrooms, however, have no shampoo, conditioner, or bath soap. This wouldn't be a big deal, except the nearest grocery store is 45 minutes away, and if we hadn't brought our own shower supplies, it would have been a huge inconvenience.VRBO never sent us the "welcome letter" which included the code to the door. We thought we had all we needed when we received the confirmation email with the "keys to our trip." We arrived at the cabin and had to ask someone from a nearby cabin to use their WiFi to contact the host. (There is no cell service there.) The host was kind and helpful, and we were able to get in as soon as we were able to make contact. Be sure you receive your welcome letter before arrival.There is no AC at the cabin. This was a minor inconvenience for us because the temperatures during our stay were comfortable, and we didn't spend the hot daytime hours in the cabin. We highly recommend staying here. The forests are stunning, and the cabin is charming and very comfortable.

We had an amazing two-night stay at this beautiful chalet near Lake of the Woods! The cabin was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and immediately felt warm and welcoming. Every detail seemed carefully considered, making it easy for our family to relax and enjoy our time together.The outdoor space was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The fire pit was perfect for spending evenings outside as a family, making memories and enjoying the peaceful wooded setting. The location also worked out wonderfully as a central meeting place since other family members were staying in nearby cabins.The directions and check-in information were clear and easy to follow, which made arrival stress-free. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with every dish, utensil, and cooking item we could possibly need.Overall, this was truly an exceptional rental with kind and thoughtful owners. We are so grateful they shared their beautiful home with us, and we would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful home with lots of privacy. While fire restrictions in the area prevented use of the fire pit, we enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.
