NEWLY RENOVATED Located in the penthouse building, this is a large 2 bedroom 2 bath ground floor unit 8 sleeps 8, Patio opens up to the pool and our luscious green courtyard with a short 75 yard walk to the beach. This unit features king bed in master bedroom, a queen and double bed in guest room and sleeper sofa in living room.Kitchen has been upgraded with granite counter-tops and stainless steel kitchen appliances. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and appliances. NON SMOKING
Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

This is by far the best place to stay especially if you have kids! We had a 5 year and a 12 year old that we take to the beach and they both loved silver dunes the best out of every where we have stayed! The ground floor is by far the best out of all levels even if you are in the back! It was so layed back and we felt very safe letting our kids meet up with friends in the court yard area! We will be back for sure! The sky rise condos are way too busy and crowded! My only complaint was the beach service guys put the chairs so tight together that you can hardly make your way through to the ocean!

We love traveling and staying with Silver Dunes. It is a laid back and relaxing atmosphere, unlike the high rise styles. Huge grass covered courtyard, pool, beach, and interior are well kept. I love just walking and looking at the landscape. We have tried other placed a few times and always come back here as our number one choice. A huge addition this year was the Big Red Truck they hired for the beach entry. Food was AMAZING! It actually blew away the other tourist restaurants on the strip by far!

This unit butrs up against the wider part of the Penthouse building so the patio feels like it’s tucked away in a private corner. There is enough room on the patio with the ground in front of it for lots of people to gather without being in anyone’s way. That is my favorite part of unit 008.The furnishings are beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen is everything you’d expect so if you are a bit of a chef, you will want to bring your own knife. The master bedroom is huge so plenty of room for a pack-n-play if needed. This was our second time in unit 008 and I will choose it again.

Our five week stay at Silver Dunes was wonderful! This is our fifth year staying here and every time it has been great! The staff from Amber, Mary Lou, Andy and others are always very pleasant. Our property is always clean, neat and well furnished. Golfing at Blackstone, Eagle Springs, Links, and Regatta Bay was fantastic. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
