Newly-Renovated Home Within the City Walls of Beautiful and Historic Avignon
Experience the magic of Provence!
Air conditioned and modern comfort inside the 700-year-old city walls of historic Avignon, a UNESCO World Heritage site! Located an easy stroll to Pope's Palace, the Pont d'Avignon, museums, restaurants, shops and the Avignon farmers market (which operates 6 days/week). Yet quiet, safe, and has easy access to both the regular and TGV train stations. The well-connected Marseille airport is just one hour away by either car or train.
Recently awarded “1re Ville Culturelle de France” by Parisien Magazine, Avignon is home to several universities, the Palace of the Popes (who lived in Avignon during the 14th century), the famous Avignon Theater Festival (in July), the Opera Grand Avignon, multiple Michelin starred restaurants, and so much more!
Avignon is also the center of an exceptionally rich region full of Roman monuments such as the Pont du Gard and the Coliseum of Nimes; museums featuring the many artists who worked in Provence, such as Paul Cezanne, Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet; an extraordinary number of historic and beautiful churches; legendary "perched" villages such as Gordes, Roussillon and Les Baux-de-Provence; literally thousands of vineyards from Cotes du Rhone to Chateauneuf-du-Pape; the delicious Provençale cuisine; and wonderful hiking and biking trails.
Avignon is also a main transportation hub, with a local train station; an easily-accessible TGV high-speed train station that whisks you to Paris, Nice, Barcelona and many other destinations; and both the A7 and A9 autoroutes.

The host was very welcoming - a great place to stay while visiting Avignon and surrounding areas. Very comfortable apartment with everything I needed - new, modern appliances, a comfy bed , plenty of hot water and lots of sunshine ! Merci !
