Beautiful Hotel with a Wonderful Suite – but the Pool Areas Fall Short of Expectations The hotel itself is beautiful and elegant, and our suite was absolutely wonderful: spacious, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The restaurant was of a high standard, and the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive. We also greatly appreciated the lovely way the hotel acknowledged my partner’s birthday. It was a thoughtful and personal gesture that made our stay feel extra special. Breakfast was satisfactory but fairly ordinary, more in line with what one would expect from a standard hotel than from a property of this calibre. It was served at the table, and the breakfast staff deserve special praise for their outstanding service, professionalism, and competence.
Unfortunately, the beach club did not live up to the same high standards. The facilities felt worn and poorly maintained, falling far short of the luxurious atmosphere portrayed in the promotional photos. The sun loungers were worn, some were damaged, and their overall quality felt rather cheap and completely out of place at a hotel of this category. Cleanliness also left much to be desired. During our five-day stay, the pool water became increasingly cloudy. By the end of our visit, it looked so unappealing that we barely wanted to swim, raising concerns about the pool’s cleaning and maintenance. The staff at the beach club’s bar and restaurant were also noticeably indifferent and inattentive, showing none of the hospitality or service-minded attitude that characterised the rest of the hotel staff. The access to the sea was particularly disappointing. The metal ladder leading into the water was heavily rusted, visibly neglected and in a dreadful condition. The surrounding rocks were covered in slippery algae, with no apparent attempt to clean or maintain the area. Apart from looking extremely unpleasant, this also raised serious safety concerns. Frankly, the condition was unacceptable even by the standards of a basic public beach, let alone an exclusive beach club associated with a luxury hotel. The hotel’s rooftop pool was another disappointment and did not reflect the exclusive atmosphere presented in the photos. The furniture belonging to the pool bar and dining area was crowded together in one corner, making the entire space feel uninviting and poorly arranged. It was difficult to imagine enjoying a pleasant lunch there or even wanting to spend much time in the area. The potted plants were also completely dried out, adding to the impression of a neglected and forgotten space. Overall, the contrast between the hotel’s excellent standards and the condition of its pool areas was striking.

Excellent staff and amenities.
I wouldn't say I didn't like, but I would say changing up the breakfast every few days so it isn't the same everyday..

It was a lovely addition having the sauna in the room as the weather was mixed while we were there. The staff were friendly however, it was noted the use of their personal phones was common. Including having a FaceTime call while at the bar as we walked to our room. We just felt this was slightly unprofessional given the status they want their hotel to be at. Location was good. We never got to experience the beach club as it was closed for season. It looked like a great location when we passed. Probably fabulous in the summer. The Rooftop pool was very nice, pictures included.
The breakfast at the sister hotel wasn’t great. Six bites of fruit between two, one omelette fell to slush when cut, and the “champagne” never appeared despite ordering it off the included menu. Staff had to be reminded repeatedly to bring what we had ordered. Paying extra for a standard English breakfast at €22 per person felt absurd, especially when there was a buffet downstairs where you could have all you could eat. The spa baths were lovely, but prices doubled mid-stay. The one-hour offer at €20 per person was replaced with €40 for 90 minutes. We were lucky to get the original price and enjoyed our time, but an hour felt more than enough. The hotel prioritises looks over substance. A staircase leads nowhere, the “champagne bar” is just a cramped lobby, and the app wasn’t great as we ended up calling reception anyway. The room was gorgeous but far from soundproof. Street noise, construction, and roaming staff disturbed any notion of rest. Overall, this hotel looks the part but falls well short in experience. For the price, it simply doesn’t deliver what it promises.
